"We had a gorgeous view of the mountains. When I opened our window, I could hear the sounds of a small waterfall, and the chimes of the bells on the flock of sheep grazing at the foot of the mountain. It was idyllic."
"This is a beautiful property just outside of Las Arenas. Our room on the 2nd floor had a charming patio overlooking the stream. We were sad to leave. Book now if there is a room available!!"

Country House 'El Jermoso' with Mountain View, Private Terrace and Wi-Fi
10/10 Excellent
"This mountain house was positively delightful. While it was in a pretty remote location, the views were breathtaking. It's located in a quaint tiny village on the Cares trail -- definitely bring provisions with you as the kitchen is perfect for cooking meals (and the food is so good in this area it's hard to make a bad meal). After a long day of hiking, we cozied up next to the fire, and enjoyed the mountain night sky against the craggy peaks of Picos de Europa. Bedrooms were comfortable, and the landscaping outside was clearly so well loved -- tons of geraniums, must be their favorite! Beautiful flowers everywhere. The village was adorable too -- our favorite was the three or four horses that seemed to rule the streets, wandering around, trying to catch snacks over the fences of the local houses. The owners parents met us to make sure we arrived OK, and were so lovely. Not speaking the same language was no problem with google translate. Would highly recommend for the adventurous sort of traveler! "
