“Warm welcome with lovely staff who never seemed to sleep(!) but always served with a smile. The menu had a good selection of dishes. Thoroughly enjoyed the homemade food which was tasty and generous in portion size. The spiced plum crumble was amazing and we were told they were homegrown plums! The room was lovely and exactly what we wanted. Everything was clean and neat. We loved our stay and would happily return. Highly recommended. ”

“Lovely property and couple. What a welcomed feeling for two jet lagged travelers. Thank you for making us feel welcomed. Room was clean and cozy. Bathroom was stocked with all the creature comforts. Tub was a sight for welcomed sight for sore eyes and the shower was top notch, with great water pressure, as per my husband. On-site parking was easy and convenient as listed. “Lea Hurst is a fantastic place to stay , Quiet and secluded.
The house is beautifully restored and the room was superb good views over the countryside,, Jen was a superb host and made us feel welcome in her home. Excellent breakfast and the canal path only 5 minutes walk through the garden. Good location for visiting all of the Peak District. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to return ”

“My wife and I stayed for 2 nights at the beginning of December in the Warren room and it was so comfortable! Ziz was the perfect host, what a lovely place the Sheriff Lodge is, close to town and 5 mins from a lovely nearby pub for an evening meal.
The breakfast was amazing with so much choice, the homemade granola topped with fruit was the best!
Overall a wonderful place to stay and we will return in the summer.
