The place has a very bad smell, rooms and lobby. Very minimal amenities. The entrance is full of cigarette 🚬 Part of the elevator buttons are not working. You should wait few minutes for the hot water to come. It’s a good location but that’s about the only positive thing about it.

Had to wait 25 minutes to get waited on. Opened the door to the room & the smell about knocked us over. Couldn’t stay in the room or would have been sick. Went back to office & had to wait another 15 minutes for someone to help us. Boy that came to help said he was sorry. I asked for a refund & he told me he couldn’t since I didn’t pay him. Left & had to get another room at a better place @ hope I can get my money back

I’ve been to the Del lago several times over the years, always an amazing experience. This time was quite different. They used to offer champagne when you checked in, no big deal but it was a nice touch that made it feel like you weren’t just checking into a normal hotel. Not any more, instead when I was checking in I was asked for my I.D and credit card, the man didn’t even say hello. I get up to the room, there is nothing but paper cups. They used to have glassware. I had some wine for the wife and a bottle of bourbon for myself, so I called down and asked if we could get some glassware. They said they weren’t allowed to give glassware to the guests. These all seem like little things on their own but it took away the feeling of being at a resort or upscale establishment that the Del lago used to do so well at. I’ve had better customer service at a holiday inn express.
