Poggio San Lorenzo Vacations
Poggio San Lorenzo is located some 30 miles (48 kilometers) from Rome, the country's capital, and about 120 miles (193 kilometers) from Naples.
Don't limit yourself to Poggio San Lorenzo; this region features plenty of natural and man-made attractions which await the savvy traveler. Labro, 19 miles (31 kilometers) to the south, and Guidonia Montecelio, 19 miles (31 kilometers) to the north of Poggio San Lorenzo are also waiting to be discovered.
Approximately 25 miles (40 kilometers) to the northwest of Poggio San Lorenzo is Terni, a regional center where you can visit Lancia di Luce, Porta Sant'Angelo and Palazzo Mazzancolli. Make sure you don't head back to Poggio San Lorenzo until you've checked out Terni's Cathedral of S. Maria Assunta, Piazza Tacito and Palazzo Spada.
Holy places are great windows into a community's big beating heart. The monasteries of Lazio are no exception. If it starts raining cats and dogs, don't panic, Lazio offers some terrific art museums, palaces and indoor markets, that will keep you and your family entertained.
Take your own equipment or rent it on the spot, and get out onto the water. Scuba diving is one great activity. Another good option is boating. Make sure you throw in a pair of hiking shoes and join one of the fascinating city walking tours, guided nature walks and culinary tours.
At the finish of your journey, gather your luggage and bid Italy a fond Ciao (farewell).
