The room looked clean for the most part, but the floor were disgusting. And one of the beds sheets were covered in something. Besides that, good water pressure and clean bathrooms. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance.

Clean basic motel. We didn't find the mattress very comfortable and the location meant the noise from traffic was significant. (The biggest problem was that there were very inconsiderate guests who were extremely noisy - not really in the control of the motel, but it made the stay unpleasant.)

Property added $100 premium for one of our night’s stay… Sink broke and water got in our luggage, no help except for a bucket until the next day while we were out on a tour. Office attendant brought over towels, but we did the mopping up. Also found that the shower valve was installed backwards which almost contributed to a scalding when I turned water to cold and hot water came gushing out. Manager only wanted to fix things after the fact and didn’t feel he owed any money back for the evenings experience. Street noise was excessive. No AC, only a window fan. Location was close to most things, however.

This motel was located in a centralized location. A lot of Places to eat close by. The rooms don’t have ac but thankful there was two fans in our room. Due to where the beds were located in the room it was not possible to watch tv from the beds. Not sure if all the rooms are like that or just ours.

I rarely write negative reviews but I honestly did not enjoy my stay at the Flagstone Motel. The motel is in a great location for the ferry to Victoria, the shower pressure was great and the lady who checked us in at the front desk was friendly and courteous. Unfortunately, that’s all this place has going for it. As with all motels, the door to the room was only feet from the parking lot and there were a group of people partying loudly by their cars until 11:00pm. Adding to that, our room was on the ground floor right next to the stairwell and we could hear people pounding up the stairs as well as hearing the elephants in the room above us. The floor boards squeaked like crazy and we were woken up every time the people above us went to the bathroom. The room itself was extremely dated although I will say it was clean. The bed was okay from a comfort perspective but the pillows definitely needed to be replaced. They were lumpy and just not good. It seems like all hotels in the area are overpriced because of the ferry access. I would never normally pay this price for such a low quality hotel but the choices overall in this area are limited. Lastly, we were supposed to stay in this motel again at the end of our 5 day trip to Vancouver Island but I just couldn’t face staying here again and I have cancelled.

Either room 106 or 116 (memory issue. Haha)(room just to left of car ramp that went to upper level). The switch to go from bath to shower needs attention. Would only go halfway and made loud noise that I am confident neighbor room could hear.

The bed frame was held together with zip ties. The floor was so dirty our white socks are now black on the bottoms. There was pubic hair all over the fitted sheet. We had to cover ourselves with towels instead of the blanket because of the unsanitary condition of the bed. There were huge spiders we had to share the room with. The lady at the front desk was a total B. I went to ask her a question and when I walked in the door, her response was, with a surly tone, "What do you want?" The surge protector for the microwave still had the Goodwill sticker on it. If I were the owner of this motel I would be so disappointed and ashamed of what they were offering. I would drop this motel from being recommended if I were you.

It is an old motel, that has been somehow renovated. Very clean and comfortable, 2 blocks away from the beach, and downtown, grocery stores and more. Staff very amicable. Quiet and nice.
