I got the sense that some patrons that were staying at the location at the time of my stay were sketchy, but I would not dock the property for that as they have a number of procedures and policies in place to maintain safety and service above everything."

"We have stayed here several times and each time I never want to leave. The view of the river is so beautiful. Kim supplies everything you could need or want. This is such a relaxing house and property. I just left a few days ago and I am ready t go back!"

"Great place to see the ocean, feel the breeze and be away from the city. The house was super clean. My complaint would be that the water in the shower etc seems to be super hard water as it took forever to get the shampoo out my hair lol. But, don't let that take you away from the views of this place. Also, if you have kids you might be very observant of the roots in the water at the beach as there are many that are sticking up and if you are not careful you can step on these if you are barefoot. Other than that it was a pleasant stay."

"we have stayed here more than once but this time we were not happy the pool wasn't open, they said it was under repairs, this should have been told to me when I called and I asked about the pool and they said yes, we have a pool, they should have said yes, we have a pool but its not open, not right, we will probably not stay there next year on our way to va beach, sad to say"

"The houses are absolutely perfect! Exactly as described, and then some. Having 2 houses for a family vacation was perfect, giving everyone their own space with also providing plenty of space for family time. Plenty of dining space, both inside and out to accommodate a family of 14. The pool was great for the kids, crabbing was awesome right from the dock. With a well equipped game room for everyone to enjoy. The bonus for us was all the yard games we found in the equipment room. They have 4 corn hole games, crochet, pool floats and balls, pretty much almost anything you could want. The dock was perfect, we had a 19 foot and a 24 foot boat, and still had tons of room on the dock to crab or just sit by the water. The hosts, Lori and Tom were wonderful people. Lori came each morning, fairly early to tend to the pool and water the plants. She did what she needed to do and was on her way, never felt intrusive. We enjoyed the place so much we have already booked a week for next summer. Highly recommend, cannot say enough good about the houses and the hosts. "

"This property is a wonderful place to stay if looking for beautiful sun rises and sunsets, beautiful views, and quiet, peaceful surroundings. The home was spacious and wonderful. We loved the central room, containing a spacious kitchen, dining room, and living room (open floor plan). This room allowed everyone to be together and enjoy home cooked meals and lively conversation. We spent a lot of time on the porch overlooking the river, barbecuing, and spending quality family time together."

"We had a fantastic stay at the Hideaway in Hays Beach. We were coming up to see our 93yr old Grandmother who lives about 45 minutes away. Our families rented two homes in the area and were able to enjoy our time with three generations that aren’t able to see each other often. The home was exactly as shown, perfectly decorated and incredibly well stocked! We’d absolutely come back!"
