Incredible Getaway at the Storybook Stone Cottage!
My husband and I fell in love with the listing of the Storybook Stone Cottage and when we arrived, we were thrilled to see that it met every expectation from the pictures online. It was the sweetest retreat from the chaos of life. We had a cozy, comfortable stay with every amenity we could need for a long weekend (including a delicious loaf of pumpkin bread that was waiting as a sweet welcome gift). The home was well appointed, clean, and did I mention COZY? I especially appreciated the heated stone floors on the crisp fall mornings! We chose this cottage for the location on the river (which is stunning!), but the home as a whole was a home run. We spent a lot of time at the Sundance Resort down the road and highly recommend every restaurant there! But the kitchen at the cottage is certainly well equipped if you choose to cook there instead. I would give this property 10 stars if I could! Loved every minute and can't wait to go back!

Cozy as Ever!
If you want a quiet and charming getaway, this is your cabin! Our little family of 3 loved our stay at Storybrook Stone cottage. The hot tub was great, even when surrounded by 4’ of snow! Despite its size, this little home includes everything that you need and with the Sundance Resort only 3 min down the road offering great restaurant options, you’re all set. Thanks to our hosts for a lovely experience!

Perfect Home Away From Home
This cabin is absolutely adorable! The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need, (I accidentally brought coffee beans) they had a grinder. My husband was in LOVE with the heated tile throughout. All the small touches such as the Christmas decorations, welcome banana bread, and cozy bedding made you feel warm and right at home. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much for sharing this little gem with us.

Quiet and cozy cottage
The cottage was the perfect quiet escape that I needed. The kitchen was well stocked with everything that I needed to cook with. The bed was nice and cozy. I loved watching the birds come and eat from the feeders in the morning. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an adorable cottage in a beautiful area.

This is a lovely, well maintained cottage, with an excellent management company. If you cannot sleep here with sound of a rushing creek and smell of a fire, you will not be able to sleep anywhere.

Relaxing Anniversary Getaway
Directions to Sundance were very easy to follow and when we got there it was just as quaint as I had hoped. The kitchen was well stocked to stay in if it was you wanted. Loved having the fireplace to hang out by at night. The hollow also turned out to be very cute. It was a great location to stay and be able to visit other places. We drove through park city and spent the afternoon on our way in from the airport. Tons of awesome hikes with waterfalls within about 10-15 minutes. Loved this rental. Everything was really well thought out. Also the bedding was some of the most comfortable I've ever found! They were super responsive to any questions we had. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Wonderful, Adorable cottage.
Not only was this cottage adorable (habit house like) and tastefully decorated, but everything else was perfect. It was beautiful being right on the creek and so quiet and secluded. I would say this cottage checked all the boxes. We wanted for nothing different. We were visiting for a mountain bike race in Mid Way. The beds were comfortable, linens were nice and soft and we had plenty of towels. Our 16 year old daughter loved having her private sanctuary in the "Birds Nest" and our 14 year old son loved the loft. The kitchen was stocked with All Clad high quality pots and pans, Viking Range, brand new grill and the pantry even had spices for cooking. You could eat outside or inside. Everything is kept in tip top condition. The management company is very helpful and provided a s'mores gift package which we enjoyed. There is also a park you can walk to with the creek running through where our dog chased the kids as the slid along the zip line. So fun and so happy we found this place!

Thank you for sharing Amy. Sorry about any parking issues you had. We've had large SUV's park right in front of the cottage for years and never had a complaint about parking. Guests park right next to the cottage but there is only room for one car. Happy you enjoyed everything else but confused about how parking could have been terrible unless you were trying to fit more than one car there. Sorry that was problematic for you. We would love to get you back and find you something different next time with more parking.

Simply Magical
I fell in love with the location just by the pictures but arriving in the snow was a whole new sense of magic! We walked in awe of how adorable and cozy the place was. It was warm, had everything we needed, comfortable and my favorite part was the heated floors! The hot tub was perfect in the snow. And even though you are pretty close to the neighbors it still somehow felt so secluded. We will absolutely be returning!

This property is outstanding. The stream running through the property with access to area across the stream via a stone arched bridge is unique. Upscale appliances especially the gas oven and stove. Clean and cozy. I am a fireplace guy and we really loved the craftsmanship of the masonry. Sundance is just a short walk away. Although Sundance has a few restaurant options, they were booked during our stay due to an event, so it may be best to make reservations before your arrival. The accuracy 4 star rating is due to the fact that it appears that you are alone in the forest, but there are homes on each side of the cottage. It did not bother us but thought it worth mentioning if your main goal is total privacy.

Sundance Cabin
It's a charming little cabin minutes from the Sundance Resort. The cabin was darling but the pictures did not show how close the neighboring houses are. (close!) Fortunately, the closest was vacant which afforded some welcome privacy. The hot tub was awesome and the bed very comfortable. We struggled a bit with the technology and suggested to the owners that they provide a notebook with instructions on how to operate everything and where all the light switches are as we never found out how to turn a few of the lights on. There's a darling bedroom in the adjoining "cabin" next to the hot tub but with only one bath in the main house, it would be tight. Fortunately, it was just the Missus and I!

We stayed at the stone cottage two nights and wished it could have been longer. It is such a magical place. It was a delight to hear the sound of the stream while making dinner or waking up in the morning. We enjoyed the hot tub right next to it in the evening and it couldn’t have been more relaxing! There was an event at The Hollow park the next day but management was kind enough to let us check in slightly early so we could check it out and it was so worth it. It is by far the nicest park ever. The zip line was a big hit with the kids (and adults, we tried it too). It swings over the stream and waterfalls. The setting was gorgeous and we can’t wait to come back again someday,

Everything about our stay was so magical! The kids felt like they were in a fairytale with the sweet loft area full of toys, books & crafts to the incredible birdhouse across the river and the cozy hot tub!! The moment I saw the property I knew I had to be there! The Stone cottage was absolutely beautiful inside and out. My husband and I appreciated the fine art throughout the cabin. We had just visited Sedona and made a trip to Arcosanti for my birthday 2Weeks prior. We knew we were in the right place when we saw a bell hanging by the front door. The cabin was cozy and everything I had hoped it would be. The cabin was fully stocked with linens And everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Our daughter and niece also enjoyed the warm ambience and beautiful surroundings. Would love to come back in early summer and Siri everything in bloom

We had a very quiet and cosy thanksgiving break vist at the cottage. It was spotlessly clean and very well appointed with lots of extra towels and blankets. The kitchen was so great for all of our meals and the large collection of storybooks was very fun. We had a flock of wild turkeys come through one evening which was fun. Wonderful place
This is definitely a storybook cabin in the woods. The home is in a magical setting and we had a wonderful stay. The property managers are kind and responsive. The cabin is well stocked and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The beds are comfortable and luxurious but small if you’re a large guy like me! We will definitely be staying here again in the future if only for the meditative ambiance! I rated the accuracy at 4 stars because the listing presents a private little cabin but in actuality the neighbors on both sides are right on top of you and I just wasn’t prepared... A short privacy fence around the hot tub would be an incredible improvement. (The neighbors turned their Bright porch lights on once we got in the tub and left them on the entire time we were in and it was tough to relax) We had a broken shower the first night and couldn’t shower but the owner Was responsive and quickly fixed it the following morning. All in all an amazing getaway and top quality management!

Great Escape
Our family loves this cottage. Our 10 year old son loved the club house and loft. We got daily visits from wild turkeys and squirrels. The cottage has everything you need for grilling outside and the hot tub was a great way to relax after putting your feet in the cold water. It is a short walk to the Hollow where we played on the zip line and in the creek. The beds were super comfortable. We want to come back in the winter and enjoy some of the other features offered by Stewart Mountain Lodge.

We really enjoy our stay. Super cute place, fun loft with tons of books and toys for my 7-year old to play with. The beds are small, but there’s enough beds for 3 of us to spread out and and they’re comfy. Kitchen was perfect- very functional. The filtered sunlight in the house made for magical mornings. Outside deck is just adorable. We’ll be back. Highly recommend for families with young kids.

Perfect retreat for 2
I like to give reviews that could help others decide if this is a good fit for them because I lean so heavily on reviews when I make my selections. The pro's of this cabin are: it's very clean, it's oh so charming, it's easy to find and has easy access, it was climatically very comfortable even though it did not have a/c like the VRBO listing said it did. It was the perfect size for the two of us. The kitchen was very nice and well-stocked as long as you do not need a dishwasher, which we didn't mind at all. We did not use the oven, the heater, the hot tub, or the outdoor bbq, so I can't tell you much about that. The flowing stream on the property was definitely the highlight. I never grew tired of sitting out there. The TV, internet, electricity, and plumbing all worked well. The hosts were excellent. Just the right amount of attention given. The canyon was absolutely breath-taking. We found this to be a great value for the money. The only cons of the property were: the beds on the main floor were too soft for our taste and somewhat lumpy. However, we found the bed up in the loft to be comfortable. It was just a bit of a challenge for us old people to get up and down the ladder every night, but we managed. We joked how we were the Swiss Family Robinsons living in our treehouse. The beds seemed more like doubles rather than queens. The sectional in the tv room was also quite uncomfortable. Saggy except where the sections connected and then really hard. We just avoided it. There was not much else to sit or lie on however, so that was a bit of a problem for us. I would highly recommend this cottage if the bed and sofa's firmness are not a concern for you. Other than that, we loved it, loved it, loved it!!! So much so that once we learn they have changed out those furniture pieces, we would love to rent this cabin two or three times a year. It was just so ideal.

Lovely get-a-way
I surprised my husband with this little get-a-way in the mountains for his birthday this year. The staff of Stewart Mountain Lodging were amazing and very accommodating. They had balloons and some prosecco waiting upon arrival. The place was clean and beautifully kept. As many others have said, we especially enjoyed the porch and the hummingbirds flying around. My husband ended up sleeping on the couch (no, he wasn't in trouble - haha) because he loved the sounds of the river flowing and the trees whistling at night. It was perfect white-noise for the baby as well. I slept on the main floor with our 6 month old son and the bed was comfortable, sheets were soft, but it is only a full size bed on the main level so fitting two adults on it was a little too snug for us (also another reason he preferred the couch). The kitchen is FULLY stocked with pots, pans, coffee, wine glasses, everything you need to host your dinners. We cooked every meal in the cabin or on the grill and it was surprisingly seamless. We really want to come back when our son is a little older and play more at The Hollow (the park nearby) and let our doggie do more diving into the river. Thank you again for opening your cabin to us so we could enjoy it and create memories there. We really hope to be back!

Magical cottage
From the moment you arrive you will feel the magic and wonder of this adorable little cottage. The Mountain hosts have prepared this place so perfectly, that all you have to do is drop your bags and enjoy the serene, woodsy environment. Our family of 5 relaxed, recharged and reset our bodies and minds thanks to this fairytale cottage.

Beautiful Get-Away
This cottage was very cozy & cute, The kitchen was wonderfully appointed & the patio, hot tub & constant, soothing sound of the adjacent stream was heavenly. The cottage got a bit warm during our late July stay, but the property manager brought us a fan & all was well.
