"We just spent three nights at Hotel La Colina in Gijon, Spain. I have to say it’s been the highlight of our European trip. The location is secluded outside of town, but you can get into town in 10 minutes. We ate breakfast in the cafeteria every morning and the food and service were wonderful. The rooms were great, the views are fantastic, along with the hiking paths and best of all the staff were some of the friendliest people we’ve met on our trip. Highly recommended, and we will be back."

The room was on 4th floor, inward looking, quiet and great. The location is fantastic to explore the old town and go to the beach. There are plenty of dinning places around and bars. "The accommodations were very nice, it had everything we needed. The biggest issue was the exterior noise. The condo is above a restaurant that stays open until 1 am every evening & across the alley is an Indian restaurant that stays open until midnight. The noise and music were unbelievable. Bring earplugs. Also the key to the outside door is extremely finicky, it takes several tries to get it unlocked. The rental company was not very communicative. It took a few days to get a response to my questions before I arrived. If you stay here, be aware of the noise!"
