Good animation staff Niki (painter) by the beach, Arianna ( games etc), Rigoberto at the pool bar, Aylwin and Mary at the beach bar as well as dorka and Michael by the stage. High humidity in rooms caused mold on our luggage and very bad exchange rate for canadian dollar at the reception. Hotel should consider another health provider as their facility is located in Punta Cana. Breakfast was excellent!

The staff were very friendly and the manager Aurora was excellent , the grounds are beautiful but the food was TERRIBLE! It was always cold and looked as if it was there for days. Wilted salads. There was NO grilling or even smell of food anywhere. Very very unapetizing. The manager was very accomodating in transfering us to the luxury sister hotel next door once we literally couldnt take it anymore. .The rooms were very old and fixtures were loose . We had to unplug things just to be able to charge our phones. This all inclusive for me rates a 2.

Honestly the resort isn’t bad. The food at the buffet is good. The restaurants are nothing to write home about but are decent. The property is clean. The staff is pleasant (aside from management). However there are NO CONTINGENCIES for any issues with your room. The last night, our room filled with sewer gas and made the entire family nauseous. When I requested a room change due to the smell and the ensuing nausea I was told that they had no rooms and someone could “come spray our room for the smell”. The night manager was NOT helpful and didn’t even speak with me. The front desk guy tried to help but only kept telling me the night manager said they couldn’t change my room. It was only when I called corporate in front the of front desk and sat on hold on speaker while repeatedly (and loudly) insisting to the front desk clerk that it was a health hazard for us to stay in our room did a new room magically become available. When someone FINALLY went to our room to even check it out, they said “oh, that IS bad. You weren’t kidding” like I was lying about the room filling with a sulphur smell and it coming through the air handling vents at 10pm to try to get something?! I would NOT recommend Bahia to anyone due to lack of contingency planning and the management staff attitude, despite the other many perfectly nice qualities about the resort. This situation was so bad, quite frankly it tarnished the entire trip. If I could give zero stars, I would.

I had a great time here, La Romana is absolutely beautiful. The only issue I had is that it was a bit out of town so we had to travel for most of our tours and excursions. Still a 10/10 option though.

The worse. My family didnt sleep well for a week, bad mattress bad aircondition bad food so salty bad customer services if your local you have better services The ATM didnt work all week. I ate better outside then this resort. 1st time in DR probably i will reconsider to come back

Pros: food was good and a nice variety, pool was large and well maintained, paddle boarding and kayaking was fun, property was beautiful, beds were comfortable. Cons: Ocean was not clear and has jellyfish(my one daughter got stung the first day we were there), we did go in a few of the other days, lots of mosquitoes(in the room and outside) bring spray and use it, I sprayed around the outside of the front door and patio doors and it made a difference, room had a smell by the bathroom daily cleaning made a difference. Overall it was a fine vacation for the money but probably would not return.
