Amazing Resort, Close to the Beach!

This Resort was just amazing! Very family friendly and relaxing. The staff is great and the food is to die for! Definitely will go back some time in the future.

This resort is only okay, nothing more!

Cons: Yes, the food.
Location: There's nothing nearby, unless you join a day-tour which will cost you!
My boyfriend and I stayed at this resort for 4 nights/5 days, here are my observation: (1) The food was terrible- everyday almost the same fare they were either salty (fish, shrimp, etc), over-cooked (veal and salmon at Le Gourmet and El Piscador); or under-cooked (rice, beans, etc). (2) Most of the service staff don't speak English when majority of their guests are either from the USA or UK, difficult to communicate with them; otherwise, they were mostly friendly(3)The beach looks muddy, not clear (4) No proper security in place - the people from UK (party of 10) told us that there was a robbery (cell phone stolen, etc)while we were there - the resort would allow local people to use the facilities, I'm not saying they are the the only culprits but I noticed young people walking around the pool and they could have very easily picked the things left on the chairs while the guests were in the pool (5) Swimming pool not clean - my bathing suit turned in to a different color (I used them before on vacation at a different resort and had no problem with discoloration (6) The towels in our room had seen better days, they needed bleaching for sure (7) There are people at the resort who sell you travel vacation package (they forced to accommodate them and listen to their sales pitch, we spent almost 2 hours listening to their dubious marketing, they threw in some personal stuff to make you feel sorry for the sales representative (having 3 children to feed with very low pay, etc) and w

Cons: Servers in the lobby should smile and talk more.
It was wonderful! Kevin the bartender in the lobby was extremely professional and always makes you feel welcomed.

Nice hotel near a dirty beach.

The beach is very bad, dirty, the water is opaque almost all year. I do not recommend this hotel for those that like swing and snorkeling in clean and clear sea wathers. Also, if you rent a car, do not include additional insurance in your Expedia contract. It is NOT valid in Rep.Dominicana and you will ended paying 4 or 5 times more at the renta car counter to have the full coverage that is supposed you buyed in your Expedia package.

Beautiful safe hotel. Feels like home.

I loved all of the staff, they were very good to us in our stay. The gentlemen who walk around to hype the customers also do a great job. Food is deilicous and fresh. Loved it!

Very beautiful hotel staff was fantastic

Only a few concerns: 1) food was just ok, you can eat it but nothing to write home about. 2) dinner dress code even for the buffet, we were on vacation, you shouldn't have to dress up for a buffet. There was a buger bar but it didn't open till 10:30pm. I wish it was open at 7 pm. Best parts. 1) pool was huge and had a great pool bar. 2) staff was out of this world nice. 3) the entire property wa beautiful 4) shopping in the complex was great 7-8 different stores for stuff and trinkets to take home

Great hotel for the price. Cons are the buffet food and the not so clean/inviting beach water but the resort is huge and away from the towns which can be sketchy. I recommend going with lots of people. You will have lots of fun that way. We did!

NICE RESORT ON A BUDGET

Pros: FRIENDLY STAFF, CLEAN ROOM.
Cons: THE CLUBHOUSE-GET WORKING A/C AND BETTER TOWELS!
NO EARLY CHECK-INS! MADE US WAIT UNTIL 3PM. ROOM IN A/C NOT THAT COLD-STOPPED WORKING ONE NIGHT, TOOK 3 HOURS TO REPAIR. FOOD WAS GOOD, BUT PRESENTATION WAS BEAUTIFUL AND VERY CLEAN! EMPLOYEES ARE VERY FRIENDLY. POOL AND BEACH AREAS ARE CLEAN. MAJOR COMPLAINT WAS THE CLUB HOUSE USED FOR GUESTS WHO HAVE LATE FLIGHT DEPARTURES. IT HAD NO WORKING A/C AND THE TOWELS WERE HORRIBLE-THEY WERE VERY THIN, WORN OUT, AND EVEN SMELLED LIKE MILDEW. THEY DID ALLOW ME TO CHECKOUT AT 1PM, BUT THERE IS ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT.
