It took 1.5 hours for room to be ready after 3pm checkin Hotel need updates, lots of mold around hotel and showers especially. Gum was stuck to the lights next to bed

Any positive review for this hotel is a pure lie
Just bad in almost every way -Construction signs and workers everywhere -Leaky roof (they put buckets on the floor in the library. How nice!) -No Wi-Fi in rooms -Mediocre or bad food depending on restaurant -Almost no staff speak English -Guest elevator broken. Guests have to use staff elevator. -No working air conditioner in one of the rooms we booked. Employees also refused to change room until the next day, and not until 3pm (how is this ok?) -No water pressure and very little hot water in the other room. -Everything is old and run down. I would not be surprised if this hotel pays for the good reviews it gets. It is a ripoff. Go somewhere else.

Property location is good and restaurant staffs are excellent. Hotel is old and AC has to be on all time, otherwise, I smells and humidity make the room uncomfortable. Bed sheets were not changed entire 7 days. Also, do not touch the snack bar because 2 bottle water, 1juice and candy bar will cost you $30 dollars

Location is great. Pool is awesome. Only thing to improve is that the Hotel feels old. Needs renovations on some areas (i.e. closet doors, etc.). The servers need to improve their speed when fulfilling an order. Service overall is slow, but good

Pros - good breakfast, ocean view from room, location to other restaurants, comfy beds, well serviced excursion office on site. Cons - loud music nearly all day and into late evening from pool area, loud music in gym, room was extremely old and needs remodeling, way too may mosquitoes in the room and especially in the lobby area. WIFI only available in lobby makes for an inconvenient stay.

Seriously should have listened to all the reviews. Shoer handle broken. Dusty room with construction on either side. Construction debris on balcony. The pool has about 12” of water. Leak over bed that was not fixed. Had to move bed. Never again

It has a nice pool but no Wi-Fi in the world
One of the things I was hoping for was Wi-Fi in the room which I read there was so much rather disappointed to find out there was no Wi-Fi in the room there was construction being done and it looks like it was in the process of being renovated as well going to my room there was a very bad smell in the hallway had no idea what the hell it was maybe it was because it’s an old hotel and there’s probably mildew or mold , although I did not see any , we had breakfast included which was OK , a couple of restaurants here in there , did have a very nice pool , and they did have this very small beach area which was kind of cool and there was a small area that you can swim in that was nice , The showers have hot water which I love sometimes these places don’t give you hot water , I think if you were to ask me if I would stay at this place again I would probably say no

Worst stay ever!!
The pictures on the site were probably taken in the first year it was open. There was so much damage and current construction going on we weren't sure if the hotel was going to collapse. As soon as you walked in the door all you could smell was a musty odor. These people obviously do not believe in any type of renovation or care about current conditions of their hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE IT'S DISGUSTING. by the way this is my first review on a hotel, if that tells you how bad it is.

The hotel is under renovation and there are few elevators available. It is not possible to change the temperature of the thermostat. The pool and beach are nice. The restaurant underwhelming.

The elevators are still under construction so everyone must use 1 small service elevator. The hotel needs to get the elevators working, especially for the amount of money you pay per night

Disappointing property
The weather was wonderful. The issues I have with the property is that it is very unkept almost dingy. The food was not bad and the service was fair. I really dislike how the cashier and desk staff does not help. The phone in the room does not work. The property is way over priced for what they offer. The pictures in the ad are very deceptive.

The property has huge potential but it’s definitely run down. The elevators in service were the service elevators so you had to go though the back of the hotel to access the floor. Rooms were horrible and with mold everywhere. The sheets were disgusting. I would not recommend this place and I would not stay here if it was free. I feel bad for the staff because they depend on the hotel to make a living, but GHL has done nothing to keep up this property.

Terrible experience. Pictures totally different from The reality. The pool was dirty and apparently they are dealing with maintenance issues with it. The hotel is very old and the GHL administration does not invest on it. During our stay, both elevators went off, leaving us for 4 days in which all the access was on foot (6 floors).

-forced to wait until 4:30pm for a room without any information. -staff not very friendly and seems depressed. -nothing happens fast or in a timely manner. -hotel was falling apart. Pieces falling from ceiling. Dirty hotel. -wood deck surrounding pool is extremely dangerous. Places you could fall through. -ridiculous small beach area next to dock. -not worth it in anyway. Photos online and videos on YouTube are a lie. Place should be condemned.
