⭐⭐☆☆☆ The only strong point of TownePlace Suites near Cal Expo is the convenient location. Unfortunately, the property feels outdated and my room (3108) was messy. The shower backsplash was cracked, the toilet paper holder misaligned, and the carpet worn. I emailed photos to the front desk manager, Alison, as requested, but never received a response. There was also a false fire alarm one night. Overall, there is significant room for improvement in both maintenance and customer service.

Friendly staff and right in the heart of the downtown area. However the elevator didn’t work to or from the garage and there also no mention of how close it is to the active rail road tracks.

Nice experience but the food was disappointing. There is virtually no breakfast; bagel and cream cheese but no cream cheese. Juice and coffee or a pastry That's it.. Very nice bar but the dinner menu though extensive left a great deal to be desired taste wise. The braised ribs and fettucine tasted like fish.

The breakfast was not what we thought it would be. It was more cold snack food for breakfast instead of a hot breakfast. We were there for a swim competition and booked this hotel specifically because we needed a suite w/ fridge, sink etc and breakfast included.
