8/10 Very Good! (3,224 reviews)
I guess it is the reality in New York to have the smell of marijuana in most reasonably priced hotels. Big signs say it is a smoke free hotel and yet the stench of weed is all over. Oh, it wasn’t in my room at the Buffalo Airport Hotel. But it was in the halls and that comes into the room. My first night of four, it was particularly strong. After, there was the smell of some fragrance clearly used to cover the smell of the weed but really it just blended with it. There were always people loitering in the parking lot. Not unloading a car or anything like that. People gathering around in the parking lot drinking and partying. They didn’t bother me but as a large male, I don’t imagine they would. But they were loud and I’m sure they would be a concern to others. The room was fine. Reasonably clean, good size, the bed was fine. The refrigerator and microwave worked and were handy to have. I do think I’ll look for a better class of hotel next time in my quest to find a hotel in New York that doesn’t smell of marijuana. Perhaps that might be asking too much.

9.6/10 Exceptional! (892 reviews)
The location was excellent - in a lovely tree filled neighborhood within easy walking of the main commercial streets. The room was comfortable, clean, no frills, but did have a little fridge. no complaints. But there is a general air of disinterest in the details that make for a truly pleasant experience. The Keurig coffee maker in the lobby of the guest building was a plus, but no milk, only artificial creamers. There were unwatered dead plants in the public areas and the inn went cheap on guest toiletries and the continental breakfast. The mini pastries were stale and tasteless.
There is a restaurant in the inn with lovely outside seating, but dining experience was disappointing the food was only fair. A tomato salad special - about $16 - had only 2 small pieces of chopped tomato. Service was friendly and reasonably professional. This would be a great place to sit outside for drinks.

9/10 Wonderful! (6 reviews)
We had a wonderful weekend stay at this house! Clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The location was perfect—peacefully tucked near the mountains while still being just 5 minutes from town, making it easy to enjoy both nature and local shops and restaurants.

7.6/10 Good! (2,514 reviews)
"The staff were very friendly. Unfortunately the walls are paper thin and when my neighbors filled their tub it was extremely loud in my room. The bed was lumpy and the pillows were very hard. It wasn’t a great experience for me."
