“I don't think that we quite realised when booking that there is no road outside the bach, but just a footpath and then straight onto the beach. This made the property very quiet and very unique. We loved it. There was plenty of parking further along the road and the walk was along a footpath and little bridge to the property. “We had an awesome stay. Our second time at Brendas' lovely home. Every aspect of the house is set up for a very comfortable stay across the road from the beautiful Otaki Beach. It has a relaxed beach vibe - we only wish we had more time. We want to make a special mention of our host Brenda who was just fantastic - great communication in making sure we were kept warm in a super cold week. Thank you Brenda!”

“We stayed 3 nights with 4 kids aged 4 to 12 and this place was great because the 2 bed self contained sleepout provided a perfect retreat fir the kids while parents and our 4 yo relaxed in the main house with the cosy fireplace. Everything was setup nicely and well equipped with quality dishes and cutlery etc.Very happy with this little haven and highly recommend it.”

“The house is lovely, so lovely in fact that I wouldn't mind living in it permanently as the layout suited our family so perfectly. The first night was very windy, which did make sleeping difficult, but that would have been the case with any house in an open field in that wind. The location was also ideal - close enough to shops and restaurants, but rural enough to feel like a real breakaway from city life. The only thing I would have changed is to maybe have one or two of the wardrobes unlocked...

“This is a lovely property situated just north of the Ōtaki township. My partner and I enjoyed every second of it. The check in process was easy and Kim is lovely. Everything was spotless, and impeccably arranged. We had everything we needed, and though we were not far from the shops or the beach, we were perfectly secluded thanks to the impressive native bush surrounding us.I believe the photos do not do this gorgeous place justice!
