The room was beautifully appointed, with the bathroom and changing area well separated from the sleeping area. The balcony gave a nice view of nearby architecture. The location of the hotel was in walking distance to the main Republic plaza, dining, and the Palais des Beaux Arts. The Citadel park, also in walking distance, served as a viewing point of the solar eclipse. Eurostar train service to London and other locations in mainland Europe was a short 20 min walk away. The buffet breakfast was excellent and I especially appreciated the water spiggets on each floor to fill up your water bottle with either plain filtered or carbonated water. The front desk was mostly helpful, although one woman could have used additional customer support training in cheerfully answering questions. The room was cooled to a comfortable temperature, a welcome respite from the outside heat wave. All in all a wonderful experience. I would return.

Check in took a fair time even though pre booked. Tried to extend which was accommodated but for €289 for the next night which was excessive. Lovely hotel, could just do with a little more speed at concierge

The staff were friendly. The room was very clean and the air conditioning worked well. There was plenty of drawers & cupboard space and enough wardrobe space for a short stay, but probably not enough for a longer stay. The shower was very good. The bed was a little strange. It was described as a Murphy Bed which was able to be folded up, but there were no bedside tables and the mattress ended about 10cm from the headboard. Apart from that everything was excellent.
