"This was our 2nd stay at this hotel for my wife, and I and we came away more impressed than our 1st. stay. Let me start off by saying what a welcome by Joy who was at the front desk. She was very welcoming, Cheerful and attentive, even though she was new to her position. The room was nicely appointed with low comfortable beds, unlike those tall beds in other establishments that you need a step ladder to get into, full size refrigerator, a good size TV with lots of channels to view. Everywhere at this hotel was spotless, including the dog walk area. They also had a well-kept area with picnic benches, a grill, horseshoes court, and an area set up for cornhole. The only small drawback is they do not have free breakfast but considering the difference in price between them and the other area hotels (which we have stayed at them all) and the recent poor quality of the breakfast at those hotels make staying at My Place worth the price"

"Ownersvhave plans to start renovating for room upgrades in October 2025 & be done by December 2025. New bathroom & special room amenities to include iron, ironing board & in-room coffee maker. Staff is super friendly & accommodating to requests. Located right on boardwalk. Just steps to the beach and restaurant w/tiki bar & stage for live performances. "

"The recently updated Blue Heron Cottage was neat and clean and the beds were truly comfortable. The cottage is just a short walk to the shops and restaurants in Colonial Beach. The attractions at Westmoreland State Park, including Fossil Beach, are a short drive away."
