Very helpful and friendly staff. Clean rooms. The pool is small but adequate for a quick cooling off but very close to the beach. Limited dining options in the area but a close grocery store. It is a long walk to the Old Town so we drove. Didn't look at the public transportation options as we had a car.

A clean well located Small hotel. Our unit had a kitchenette which would be perfect for a bit longer stay. We loved Rovinj and hope to come back for a longer than overnight stay.

Villa Marea is a place to go at Revinj.
Fantastique place to star. A five minute walk to beach and twenty to twinty-five to port where everything is. The people at the hotel were very friendly and helpful.

Hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood,about 20 minute walk from the downtown. It’s very well maintained, clean and pleasant. Our room had a nice balcony to relax and wind down from a busy day of sight seeing

It could have been so much better
Perfectly comfortable stay in studio although we were expecting the room to be bigger. Unfortunately there was some construction work opposite the apartment which meant noise from 8.30am until around 5pm (nothing to do with this apartment) so it was difficult to enjoy breakfast on the balcony. The breakfast provided by the owners was good but there is a supermarket 5 minutes walk away if you want to self cater.

Lovely accommodation. Lovely pool!
We stayed 2 nights here before moving on during a tour around Croatia. It is a lovely small hotel and the pool is an added bonus. It would not be easy to find without a SatNav though!

Short Holiday.
Stayed for 1 week in June 2017. Perfectly placed to visit Rovinj and surrounding area. Great to have a swimming pool to come back to after spending the day site seeing or at the Beach. We stayed in a studio (room 202) with a see view. We didn't take up the option of breakfast until our last day there. Regret not doing it every morning! There is nothing to fault.

Great family hotel!
We stayed in the family room and it was huge! Came with a living room, kitchen, balcony, and private room with king size bed and it's own bathroom too (apart from the main bathroom out in the living room area). The sofa turns into a queen size sofa bed. Everything was just so clean, and comfortable. Me and my family loved it. The only thing we found "not okay" was the private room bathroom smelled like urine all the time....even before we used it. But other than that...I would totally recommend this hotel to everyone

Welcoming hotel only a short walk from town centre
We were very impressed with our stay at "villa marea" and on arrival made to feel welcome. Both the hotel and our room was spotlessly clean and we were offered a kettle so,that we could make ourselves a hot drink in our room despite there being unlimited hot drinks in the lobby. The hotel is ideally situated for beach walks and is only a short stroll to the town

Probably the best place to stay in Roving
Located in a quiet and well looked after residential neighbourhood but only 20 mins walk to old town and 10 mins to beach. The walk to old town if you follow the beach is beautiful. If you want somewhere closer to eat there are good restaurants within a 10 min walk. Bike hire is cheap and bikes are well maintained. Really friendly and helpful staff. Hotel is extremely well maintained. Studio room had fridge, microwave and hob and bed was very comfortable. Rovinj old town is beautiful. Villa Marea is a great place to explore Istria and I can only concur the reviews.

Exceptional room & staff for price
The price for the studio room we had was of great value. The staff was exceptional and very helpful (especially Ines). Lovely small boutique villa with no fuss. Loved the quaintness of Villa Marea. Owners live on property. A little bit of walk into town and a short walk to the beach. The night walk was well light and safe. A couple of neighborhood bar/restaurants and a larger grocery store are nearby, which was quite handy. If you need an excellent English speaking taxi, ask for Mario.

Lovely Villa Marea
Really lovely Villa. A short distance from Rovinj - about 20 minutes walk - but as most other guests had bikes it did not seem to cause any problems. However very close to the beach area. Breakfast, which we has outside in the garden, was lovely . Lots of choices. We had a large room with balcony overlooking the pool and garden. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. We really enjoyed our stay in Villa Marea and look forward to returning.

Lovely villa by the beach
A few minutes walk from a lovely beach with great swimming, this was a wonderful find for our short stay in Croatia. The staff were all exceptionally helpful and friendly, and the everything was in tip-top shape. With very reasonable rates, we hope to return for a longer stay in the future.

Great place to stay!
Villa Marea was really wonderful! Ines & Matea were great, so informative. Our room was bright,very clean & comfortable. The breakfast was great! We were even given bikes free of charge. Coffee and Tea was available at anytime.

Lovely low-fuss hotel close to the beach
Villa Marea has a well-deserved 4 star rating with excellent staff and a great standard of cleanliness. Only 5 minutes walk from the beach and 15-20 minutes from the old town, it is well situated to offer a quality stay away from the higher priced resort area. Our room was clean, with quiet and effective air conditioning and a balcony. They don't offer breakfast or have a bar, but each room has a fridge and cutlery, glasses and tableware to make your own breakfast. There is a supermarket about 5-10 minutes away, and two good restaurants close to that. The swimming pool is small but very nice with plenty of sunbeds around. They also have a free tea/coffee/hot chocolate machine for use any time. The only minus for us was the beds - two singles pushed together with very firm mattresses, and no bar for cocktails by the pool! Other than that, an excellent hotel with friendly and helpful staff - highly recommended.

The nicest place I've every stayed in
This is a fantastic place to stay. The people are so friendly and helpful, and everywhere is SO clean. I urge you to check this place out. Isteria is like Tuscany without the BMW drivers and Rovinj is just wonderful. The only hotels are very upmarket so you also don't get the noise and problems associated with a resort. Everything highly recommended.

Great Stay!
Villa Marea was a beautiful apartment building with a lovely garden. Our room was spotless and the hotel was really near to the beach and the national park. The only slight downside is that it was about a 20 minute walk into town, so if that would be a problem perhaps staying nearer to the centre would be better. However, I would strongly recommend Villa Marea to families and couples, as it is in a lovely suburban area.

recommended place to stay
We stayed for a week in June 2012. We had a little trouble initially finding the hotel but once there it was very nice and the staff were friendly, helpful and spoke very good English. My husband walked to the bakery every morning. Be sure to check out the beach and park. It's only 5 - 10 minute walk from the villa. We didn't go there til the end of our stay. They say it's about a 20min walk to the old town from the villa but we never tried it. We always drove. It was a convenient location to access the highway. We stayed for the week but did day trips every day throughout the Istria area.

Rovinj
The hotel is not too close to Old town which is why people go to Rovinj. There are no breakfast options close by and no one is at the front desk until 8am.

A small friendly hotel
This is a clean and attractive hotel with friendly and exceptionally helpful staff that is located about 20 minutes walk from the centre of Rovinj. The gardens are pleasant and contain a small swimming pool and sunbathing area. Overall the hotel offers good value for money.

I can't rate this apartment highly enough great staff ,spotless room,' nice pool area and off road parking not hard to find if you do a little pre trip planning 20 minutes walk to the old town 10 to the beach and to cap it all Rovinj is beautiful.

Another amazing trip
Just returned from Rovinj and another stay at Villa Marea. My third stay there, after two previous trips before I found Villa Marea. There is wi-fi in the reception area, and cycles for hire. We have one of the studio rooms, with its balcony, hob, microwave, etc etc. I don't know if I shall need to return to Rovinj in the future, but if I do, I needn't look for any other accommodation. Villa Mare hits all the rught buttons.

Unfortunately we only stayed 1 night at this hotel. The rooms/mini apartments were new and really nice and comfortable. The beach is only 10 min walk from the hotel and if you want to stay in, the pool and surrounding area are perfect for that. The staff were really helpful and it is a nice small cosy hotel. Parking is just in front of the hotel

Wonderful in quiet area
An absolutely wonderful small family owned hotel in a quiet area. Everyone working here is friendly, helpful and easygoing. The rooms are spacious with a small kitchenette and fridge. There is a supermarket 8 minutes walking distance and a nearby beach, 5 minutes by foot. The pool is small but perfectly sufficient for a hotel of this size, and great for that day when you just can’t bother going to the beach.

Mooie kamer zeer ruim en modern . Ligt wel 20 a 25 minuten wandelen van het centrum. Het is wel redelijk duur qua verblijf. De gastheer was oke. Ontbijt hebben we niet genomen.
