This page gives all the necessary information for train travel from Bangkok to Kanchanaburi, the Bridge on the River Kwai & Nam Tok, along with an overview of what there is to see in the area, including the Bridge Over the River Kwai, the Wampo (Wang Po) Viaduct and the museum at Hellfire Pass (Konyu Cutting). You can see the Bridge on the River Kwai as a day trip from Bangkok using the morning train out and afternoon train back, but it's better to make it a 2 or 3 day trip as there's a lot more to see than just the Bridge. We enjoyed every moment from arrival to departure. Every member of staff was super courteous and polite at all times. The food was delicious and we all (2 grandparents, 2 adults and 2 children) loved every moment spent around the pool, in our raft bedrooms and chilling in our balconies! We couldn’t recommend this hotel more highly! Was amazing staying in one of the floating rooms on the river and the scenery was so beautiful. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Perfect River Raft! Im so glad we booked this place. I booked 2 river raft rooms for our family, 2 adults and 2 children. The rooms are a great size, drinks fridge has very reasonable charges (65 baht beer, 20-30 baht soft, 20 baht crisps etc). Room service was 20 baht for extra drinks if you run out, so really cant complain. The setting is just great, lovely greenery, sound of the river, wildlife, swimming pool built into the river (the kids loved this) and lots of seating areas! Food was fine, breakfast is basic but its all we needed. Reception was lovely, always very helpful! Can arrange a driver for you also if needed (we went to Erawan for the day).
