Our family's favorite UT rental
Laurie's basement rental is our first choice to stay when visiting UT as a family. It's clean and spacious. Lighting is well done in every room. It does not feel like you're in a basement. I enjoy the large kitchen and room for us all to visit. The house is well stocked with pots/pans and spices, sheets, towels, soap, etc. Just about everything you'd need is provided. There is a roomy wall pantry to store all your food. The bathroom arrangement may seem odd at first but it is perfect for a large group. There are 2 toilet rooms and 2 shower/sink rooms. Full length mirrors in the bedrooms also help everyone to get ready for an event. It's located on a quiet street with plenty of parking. Laurie is easy to contact if you need anything. Otherwise, she leaves you alone to enjoy your stay. I look forward to our next stay to make more family memories!

Perfect basement apt with everything you need
This is a perfect place to stay. It was clean, matched the pictures, and conveniently located for my purposes and for Salt Lake. It is really spacious and can fit a ton (my family is 7). What impressed me the most was how well stocked it was with everything you could need in the kitchen, plenty of towels, etc. and the owner left us cookies when we arrived-so cute!! It was a very nice week!

Great place for kids!
This place was very roomy. We had 9 adults and 7 kids and it was perfect. There were lots of toys for the kids to play with inside, as well as several scooters and skateboards and things outside. There was plenty of room in the kitchen for all of us to eat together. And the owners left a plate of cookies for us, which the kids thoroughly enjoyed. It was a great place to have so much of our family all together.

Pretty perfect
We've stayed here twice now, and we have had no issues whatsoever. It's spacious. Easy check in and check out process. The host was gracious enough to let us have a babysitter for my kids so we could attend my sister's graduation ceremony. The property was great for our needs. Thank you!

Perfect for a Large Family
We used this basement apartment as a place to sleep and shower- we weren’t there during the day. We had a family of 13 and all had a place to sleep. The layout is unique, but we liked it. The large bunk room had lots of additional floor space for playing or sleeping. The kitchen is very accessible for a large family. The separate toilets and showers are also nice for a large family. If we were staying at home all day, we may have felt differently, but for our needs, it was extremely functional and we all loved it. We also loved the well-placed children’s toys and art supplies. The host was helpful and kind when we needed her.

Simple but perfect
Everything was great. Access and parking was easy. Very spacious and clean, easy to move around. Our 1 year old liked the room to crawl around. It suited our needs perfectly. Reasonably priced for the amount of space you get access to.

SO MUCH SPACE!!
Traveling with a youth rugby team in the summer heat is STRESSFUL but being able to stay here made a world of difference. We worried about everyone feeling on top of each other or squished but it was so roomy! General consensus was "WOOOOW! This is NIIIICE!" This was our first Vrbo experience. I read some horror stories and was nervous but we were far from disappointed! 10/10 would recommend!

My first basement apartment stay
We arrived early, and our host was very accommodating. When we entered the apartment there were flowers and a treat waiting for us. We were so pleasantly surprised with the size of the apartment. There was plenty of room to spread out. Our family of 4 and 1 toddler had more than enough room, and it was also very clean. It was near many attractions, and more importantly near the family we were there to visit. We will definitely be coming back here when we visit again! Thank you for your generosity and wonderful hospitality!

Quilting Retreat
We had four of us staying to work on quilting projects and didn't want to cook, so brought a cook. The kitchen was well-stocked, even with quality knives (rare!), nicely laid out and spacious. It's a really cute space with so many beds! And toilets and sink/bathing space nicely separated. Our hostess was eager and willing to help us feel comfortable. Huge fenced patio for children to play on.

Perfect place to stay for larger group!
Our experience at Laurie's property was wonderful! She answered all the questions we had before we arrived & when we arrived felt right at home. Her property was warm (it was cold outside) and inviting, had all the linens & towels we needed. She left us a welcome snack which we really apriciated after a long day of traveling. Her property was family friendly, centrally located and had quick access to multiple interstate/highways. We would definetely suggest this property to family & friends and stay there again ourselves!

Very Nice.
Fresh flowers greeted out entry. Everything was clean and orderly. It was a short stay for our grieving family as we came for a funeral. It was nice to have a place to be together and prepare a meal and allow two grandchildren to roam and play. Clean up was easy upon our departure though I must apologize because I don't think everything was put back in the exact spot.

Weekend coaching.
Several of us come together at different locations in our region to work with coaches. When we meet in Salt Lake, several of us stay at this VRBO. We have stayed here 3 times now and it is perfect for us! The place is well stocked with everything we need; cooking utensils, beds and bedding, towels, blow dryer, etc. and the hostess is very nice and accommodating! Has even come to see us perform!

New Year's Eve Fun
We have made a tradition with my kids on New Year's Eve we stay somewhere, go out to eat, play games and bring in the New Year. This started in a hotel as the grandkids come we get a little bigger. So this VRBO was a great spot this year too stay for the weekend. Plenty of comfy beds for everyone. Clean and roomy for all. Thanks for a great stay.

Home away from home

Absolutely Perfect!
We stayed at this property while my son recovered from surgery in Salt Lake. It was absolutely perfect for our needs! The kitchen had everything we could possibly want or need (even items that helped us make special food for his restricted diet). The beds were so comfortable and the entire place had a peaceful, quiet ambience. It was exactly what we needed- a place full of everything we needed but also comfortable, peaceful, and quiet. The location is perfect, with many stores close by, and the interstate and Bangerter Highway are just a few minutes away. It's a great location when you have other places around the valley to go to. Our family is large, so I especially loved the bathroom configuration. No waiting or fighting to get into the bathrooms! This really was the best place to stay and our host was so accommodating. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Perfect Ski Pad
We as a family (all adult children and spouses/ fiancé’s ) enjoyed our annual family ski trip while staying here! Laurie was great w communication even offering suggestions to help us in getting to the ski resort on time. Amazing kitchen (pans that aren’t Teflon and scratched and sharp knives!), plenty of beds and bathrooms. I agree w previous posts that the toilets outside the bathrooms were so practical. Tons of hot water for ski weary bodies! We absolutely would recommend this place to everyone coming to visit SLC.

We definitely enjoyed our stay here. The place was clean and was pretty much as advertised. A couple of things I would mention. One, I didn't realize that it was a basement apartment. At first I was disappointed but as it turned out, the residents upstairs were very quiet and we never saw them. Second, the bathroom configurations are a little different. The toilets are in separate rooms from the showers and sinks. Not a big deal but kinda' wierd. But overall the place was great. Plenty of sleeping places and a very comfortale space. I hope to stay there again in the future.

Busy family week.

Great gathering space for our trip to the Utah Museum of Fine Arts

Nice Large and Bright, Great Place to Stay
We stayed here for quite a while and it was perfect for our family. One of the rooms has a couple bunk beds and the kids LOVED that. The home was very thoughtfully prepared with everything you need and more. We appreciated the off-street parking and quiet neighborhood. The host is so friendly and helpful too. We will definitely stay again or recommend to family/friends visiting the area.

Wonderful Home Away from Home
This VRBO was perfect for our family of 14. Everyone had their own bed, plenty of bathrooms, showers and chairs in the kitchen. We are so grateful for Laurie going above and beyond making sure the place was ready just in time for our arrival. We were visiting for our daughters wedding and the location was absolutely perfect. The neighborhood was beautiful and homey. The unit had everything we needed and the kitchen was stocked well with dishes and pans, even flour and sugar. The side yard was perfect for our littles to play and scooter. Such a wonderful place and gracious host. Can’t wait to come back and stay. Thank you Laurie!

This was a great place to stay for our large group with kids. We had a large range of ages and the owner had lots of beds, toys, coloring and games for them to play with. There was also plenty of seating during mealtimes. This made for a great family experience!

This was the perfect property for our weekend getaway. I was happily surprised at the amount of space. The kids loved the bunk beds and everyone enjoyed the giant table with plenty of seats.
