"The location is great, but the amenities of the place were very minimal. There was no WiFi at all, and the host did not mention this until a few hours after I asked after check in, she just said “it’s broke”, so if someone was on a business trip or could only use their phone via WiFi, this should not be your place. There was no way to make coffee, which is really odd being in Italy, the home of coffee, so there was no coffee machine or a kettle to properly make it. I think the layout isn’t that...

A charming B&B settled outside of Lucca (~20 minutes), but with easy access to visiting many different areas. We rented a car from the airport (~1hr & 20mins) and I highly recommend it so you can move around with ease and visit different areas even go to the coast. The tolls are fantastic and fast. We stayed for 10 nights so we had time to enjoy and relax. We thank Filipo and Feredica, who have been so hospitable during our stay. Lots of options for breakfast with the best cappuccino ever. Wow. Amazing. Beautiful. I can't say enough great things about this hotel/ bed and breakfast and the wonderful people who run it. A converted mansion with just a few rooms, it was amazing. Beautiful garden with a fountain, roses, an aviary. House and garden is filled with artwork. It was more like staying at a mansion or a museum than a hotel. Our hostess there was gracious and helpful. She even drove us herself when we couldn't get a taxi. By far the best accommodations I have ever had in all...
