Location is great for visitors coming to see Padre Pio. A mere 5 minite walk to the church and stores. However, the check in experience is substandard. The receptionist even forgot to give me my key and inform me of my room number. Elevators were not working. Breakfast was ok, some croissants and cereals. The waiter was polite.

Ok hotel.
Stayed here while vising Padre Pio location is great. I had my dog with me and i picked this hotel because it said soundproof. Well it wasnt soundproof at all. I could hear everything that was going on in the hall. People arriving super late and waking me up. Also, earlier in the day one person from the front desk walk in my room without knocking to turn on the termostat i had turn off. Thank God i was dress, he did apologized but i don't think that they should be going in rooms without knocking first or at all. It's an ok hotel, i guess you get what you paid for.

Walking distance to Sanctuary of St. Mary Our Lady of Grace where St. Padre Pio's incorrupt body is laid. Breakfast is included and serves lunch and dinner. Very convenient. Clean and friendly staff. We met the owner and his family and they are very friendly, down to earth people and very welcoming. Thank you.

This Peopertu is of great location and nicely appointed. However, they have such tight control of electricity use that the HVAC is never cold nor it gives enough ventilation for the room. The electricity for the A/C unit turned off every 4-5 hours. We woke up in the

Disappointing Experience
The reviews were great but our experience wasn't. The floor had a sticky residue on it which room service had to clean while we waited. The electrical plug didn't work so the front desk said they would fix it. After an hour I went to the front desk and they said it was broken and couldn't be fixed but we received no call to inform us of this. We asked to be moved and was put in an even smaller room (my husband fell between the bed and the desk carrying luggage because it was so tight). I asked if this was indeed a comparable room (double superior) because it was smaller than our first room and was told that the hotel was a boutique hotel and every room was different. There were NO outstanding qualities, however. One room key, no tissues in the room, one wastepaper basket only in the bathroom, small packets of shampoo, no DO NOT DISTURB sign, etc. Cold breakfast with mostly carbs. Behind the bathroom door, there was piled up hair.

I love to stay again for my next trip visit to Padre Pio Shrine. The Hotel is clean and I felt comfortable for my 2 nights stay. Also short distant to the bus station, restaurant, souvenir stores and Padre Pio Shrine.

A/C in room 411 did not work!
When we arrived at the hotel, the front desk worker was very friendly and gave us all the information we needed on bus tickets and Padre Pio Church. The lobby, roomsand restaurant are very clean. Breakfast was amazing! They had everything from fresh bread, cheese, yogurt, boiled eggs, cakes, and coffee. We even ate at the restaurant for lunch and the food was delicious. The only problem we had was the air condition in our room. It was very hot and sticky. We told the front desk worker in the evening and he came in to check the AC and he said that it was fine and nothing was wrong just to give it some time. We had it on all day and all night but still very hot and stuffy in the room. We didn't sleep all night and ended up showering 3 times that night as we couldn't sleep at all. We couldn't even open the window in the evening because there was no cover and in 5 minutes, the room was filled with mosquitos and flies which we didn't want to deal with so we ended up sleeping with the windows closed, in the hot heat. I don't know if all the rooms are like this but whatever you do, DO NOT sleep in room 411 as it is too hot and VERY uncomfortable to sleep in. Also, there was no wifi in our room even though they said that the room would have free wifi so we had to go down to the lobby to get wifi. Overall, if the A/C worked I would book this hotel again as everything else was great and less than a 2 minute walk to the bus stop and Padre Pio church.

Excellent location. Excellent staff. They even got us something to eat when we had to leave early before breakfast began. Only problem is WiFi.,. most of the time you have to go into the main building. May be a regional problem. But I would definitely stay here again! Loved our stay!

Perfect location for Padre Pio shrine

Great location!
This hotel had a premium location near the grounds of Padre Pio! The price was very reasonable for the quality of room that we got and the breakfast. Highly recommended.

Quite convenient for Padre Pio Pilgrimage,good and friendly service, walking distance to many other activities. A reasonable breakfast and a reasonable restaurant with a very competetive price. Arriving by car with good independent parking service with hotel assistance.

A real winner1
Beautiful hotel that is truly an easy walk, albeit uphill, to the Shrine and Church of St. Pio, the memorable Way of the Cross (up many, many steps but so worth it). Every single member of the staff was super friendly and helpful, from the gentleman on the desk when we checked in around 10PM to Angela and Luigi (who made train reservations for us from Foggia to Brindisi). The breakfast is amazing, and the staff down in the dining room are incredibly pleasant and helpful ... and always replenishing the supply of croissants, ham, cheese and everything else that disappears rapidly because it is all so good. The view from parts of this hotel, and anywhere else in San Giovanni Rotondi, is breathtaking ... you are really UP THERE!

Perfect for the Padre Pio Pilgrim
The only reason Room Comfort was 4/5 was because the air conditioning had trouble keeping up with a prolonged heat wave, but really, not many places could. Our room was not huge, but the bathroom was! The hotel is convenient to the Padre Pio churches, and the hospital. The Town is not that far if you don't want to drive. The staff is very nice and attentive. A great time.

Hotel Near to Padre Pio Rotando
Everything is good except for the Breakfast n Dinner we had. Need to improve tremendously. Hotel is 5 mins from bus depot going to Foggia Train station or Archangel St michael mountain. Buy your bus ticket at the bar on the extreme end n turn right.

Hotel Colonne is brand new.It is very clean, staff is extremely helpful and you can't be any closer to Padre Pio Sanctuary. It is literately a 3min walk.They offer parking garage right at the hotel for 10euros per day.Breakfast is delicious with a big variety of beverages, bread and pastries. I would definitely stay at hotel Colonne again. Their restaurant has great food and offers also lunch and dinner.

Very close to Saint Pio's church
Very comfortable room with all the necessary stuffs and Hotel is situated near to Saint Pio church apporx 100m. Surrounded with all major visiting areas. We also visited Monte Sant'Angelo which is 26km far away from San Giovanni Rotondo 100% satisfied

Sparse but adequate for a Franciscan pilgrimage
The location was the best. Just a block or so from where the buses from the train station drop you off and within walking distance of the old and new Padre Pio church. The hotel has a restaurant on site which serves at designated hours (breakfast, lunch, dinner). Food was spotty but service was excellent. Very reasonably priced if not included in the rate. Great, welcoming service at the front desk too. The air conditioner was somewhat old and no match for the hundred degree plus weather. It should be ok to stay if going in fall or spring.
