Basic hotel in San Giovanni Rotondo. Rooms are large although not clean. Showers are moldy. Breakfast is included although dining room staff are quite rude. Parking is limited.

I highly recommend Fini Hotel the cleanliness and the staffs are very accommodating. It’s my third times checking in and I will comeback when I visit the Padre Pio shrines.

Booked this last minute in August and the only reason why we stayed here was because it was the only place we could find giving our late planning. Location was good as it’s about an hour or so from Vieste which has beautiful beaches. Hotel itself felt more like a motel but staff was friendly. Our room was small and had no view and breakfast was buffet style. Buffet wasn’t great, very basic offerings and the dining room didn’t seem well ventilated given covid so didn’t feel comfortable eating here with all the guests but it ended up being fine. Parking is free on property. Would recommend staying for no more than two nights if you’re getting a basic room. If you’re getting a bigger room maybe it’ll be more comfortable.

Not for vacations 2+ days
The location was in the middle of the town down the hill and Padre Pio’s sanctuary. Would recommend to go up there more often for sightseeing. If you can speak Italian pretty good go to the town. We felt uncomfortable down there. The hotel workers are nice and friendly.

Great place to stay, clean friendly staff. Restaurant was good. Staff spoke zero english but accommodating. Parking is free and plentiful. Couldn't adjust ac so it was a bit hot.

Excellent location, courteous staff, and good service. The hotel restaurant food is very good and has as many options as other restaurants in the area, reasonable prices. The breakfast which includes a variety of pastries, prosciutto, cheeses, cereals, yogurt, fruit, breads, juice and choice of coffee is more than sufficient and satisfying. The staff was very pleasant and always smiling, very helpful when information was needed. Even though the hotel is outdated it provides the basic and necessary amenities. Would definitely recommend and stay there if we go back to the town in the future.

We had a great stay
It’s perfectly situated. It’s located on the same street as the sanctuary. You need to walk up hill for about a km. It gets steep at times so take it slow. About a km down the hill is town. We found a grocery store and pharmacy. The hotel room has a fridge so we were able to buy yogurt for snacks throughout the day. Giuseppe and Paolo at hotel Fini were friendly and helpful

Relaxing hotel close to the Sanctuary

Super nice Hotel with great low $ restaurant.
Found the Towel rack was sweating water onto the bathroom floor since there was cold water running through it. It was fixed before we returned with our bags. I did find two lamps that needed replacement bulbs as well as a loose toilet seat but was unable to communicate this to the hotel reception person when leaving as I didn't speak Italian...

Wonderful stay and hotel
We had a one night stay. Conveniently located, approximately 5-10 minute walk to Padre Pio Church, which is what we were looking to visit, although walk somewhat steep. Enjoyed a nice dinner and breakfast in on site restaurant. Staff very courteous and helpful. Would definitely recommend and return there.

nice, basic, hotel, mostly used by older pilgrims
(I checked yes above for "3-start" rating, but actually am not quite sure what that means) (I speak Italian so was not a problem, but my casual observation was that this was all the staff spoke, which was curious given the large number of foreign guests.) Really a very solid local hotel. The only warning I would give is that wifi is available ***ONLY*** in the lobby.

Easy walk to the shrine
We liked everything about the hotel except we were surprised by an extra charge for underground parking when we checked out. The charge was only 5 Euros but still a surprise after the reservation said free parking. Turns out it is free in fron of the hotel but not undergraound.

Surprise room upgrade
Wonderful stay. We were given a room upgrade without asking for it, w/c is a much bigger room than the one one I chose when I made the reservation. The place is walking distance to Padre Pio's Shrine.

Pleasant, fresh and lovely but breakfast ......
Overall stay was a good one in the hotel however the internet in our room only worked one evening. Breakfast is very basic, first time in a hotel in Italy that Panini bread loaves were not available, definitely a big surprise for us and the bread available was not that fresh. Toaster was not available either and the only spread available was butter,(no cheese spread). Hotel staff could be a bit more friendly and smile a bit more often. Pity since the hotel has just been refurbished and is looking very welcoming.

The proximity to Padre Pio is excellent but the staff was not very accomodating We arrived after lunch & we had not eaten. One of our friend is diabetic and had to eat. They finally served us a cheese sandwiches and charged astronomically. Definetly took advantage of the situation. The front desk ignored you!
