"What I liked about the property was that is was very nice and clean and the staff was very nice and helpful. What i greatly appreciate is that we arrived very late after hours and they allowed us in the property. They had sent us an email informing us that the latest ck in was 12 midnight and i felt like we were not going to be allowed in. After a few messages they agreed. Once we arrived i believe we were met by the owner or manager of the property and he made sure he informed us to check in...

"If you do not care for cleanliness, if you do not care being waked up at 06:50 by the landlady having some workers cutting metal on her demand 10m away from your bedroom - oh sorry they stopped for 20mn when I asked if it was really necessary - then this hostal is for you. "Fantastic hosts! We actually stayed here twice, the first visit, one night, we arrived with a tire that was leaking air. It went flat overnight, and the host insisted on changing the tire and taking it to a shop for repair, even though it was on a Sunday, and most places were closed. He returned and installed the tire, refusing any payment for tire repair or his time! Nicely decorated property and great interaction even though our Spanish and their English was limited."

"Panisté was a fantastic place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the area. The rooms were great, with really nice views of the mountains and hills nearby. It felt like we were far away from everything. The restaurant was really tasty as well, and they were very accommodating of my food intolerances (dairy). I highly recommend the temascal - a steam room Guatemalan style, where a wood fire heats rocks that you then put water on to create steam in a brick dome. We also wandered around the grounds, seeing all the gardens and coffee plants. The pool was also great - a little heated given the cool day we were there. It almost felt like we were the only people staying there - we saw more staff than guests, so enjoyed some truly peaceful days during our stay."
