The Newport Plums Estate is a one-of-a-kind estate house located walking distance from downtown Sandpoint with all of its outstanding award-winning restaurants and shops. SUMMER STAY FUN There is a lot to do in Sandpoint during the Summer. From the Festival in downtown to Lost In the 50s car show event, this estate home is located in the heart of all the action, and is truly a one-of-a-kind property in South Sandpoint. The Junior Olympic size pool includes an outside bar area with resort style pool furniture and an outdoor TV. Located 9 miles from the Idaho Club golf course, and across the street from the Third Street Pier and a short walk to the long bridge. We are also located a few blocks away from the Sandpoint Marina and also the boat launch at Memorial Field so guests may bring their boats and watercraft. Come see why lake life in the summer is the best life! Past groups that have stayed during the winter have raved how they get to enjoy the "best of both worlds" that Sandpoint has to offers during the winter. The house is walking distance from the award-winning restaurants, pubs and bars in Downtown Sandpoint which are far better than the limited offerings at Schweitzer Village which also close way too early. For those skiers looking to complement their long days on the slopes with a great hot tubbing experience, this is the place to stay. We are the only home in Sandpoint that has a Diamond Spa custom made stainless steel jacuzzi which (as you can see from the pictures) is sheltered from the elements under a fiberglass roof and can seat up to 8 people. Winter guests have described our jacuzzi as the perfect spot to unwind after a day on the slopes with beer and/or your wine in hand and stars above. The house and outdoor area by the jacuzzi has been wired for music throughout with a newly installed AV sound system that comes with XSMR and can be accessed your IOS devices as well to play your preferred playlists. Also, we have installed a brand new outdoor stainless steel gas grill and griddle adjacent to the jacuzzi, which is also depicted in the picture. So guests can now to choose to prepare their own meals inside or out. Our owners, Melissa and Brian Kramer, love managing this unique property and making sure that our guests experience is outstanding. This very spacious house and is packed with modern amenities, and is set up for executives who need to get some work done with high speed internet to facilitate Zoom calls and a high speed printer. CHECK IN at 4:00pm and CHECK OUT at 10:00am. ENJOY ALL THE BEST SANDPOINT HAS TO OFFER IN THE WINTER. The house is ideal for groups coming to enjoy Schweitzer Mountain. Enjoy the best of both worlds as the estate is only 7.5 mile drive to Schweitzer Mountain Resort and three blocks away from downtown Sandpoint. While things shut down at the Schweitzer village at sundown, you can enjoy all the downtown shops, restaurants and bars (and, of course, the Panida Theater) late into the evening. Also, there are far more restaurants and pubs downtown to choose from than the limited options at Schweitzer Village. For the serious winter sports enthusiasts there is no better place in Sandpoint to enjoy a fantastic hot tubbing experience than in our new stainless steel Diamond Spa Jacuzzi that sits up to eight people under a covered gazebo. Life doesn't get much better than enjoying our jacuzzi with a glass of wine, beer or even hot chocolate in hand and gazing at the stars after having spent the day on the slopes of Schweitzer. There is a bus service to Schweitzer that picks up and drops off one block from the house if you don't want to drive or if the younger ones in your group can't wait to get up to the mountain! Note that our pool is shut down for winterization every year from mid-October through sometime in May so it is not available for guests during this period. We had another house booked for our group of 20 people that got flooded just days before our trip. Luckily we found Brian and Melissa house - The Newport Plums Estate and they bent over backwards to accommodate us. Honestly I think it was meant to be as their house was much better. Amazing location right in Sandpoint, the place is a beautiful castle, and the hot tub is the nicest 10 person tub I have ever seen. We look forward to hopefully staying again. The house was near the lake and walking distance to downtown. The property manager Mellisa was the best property manager I’ve ever dealt with. She was available 24 hours a day. Brian & Melissa were the perfect hosts, always available upon request. They greeted us & showed us through the house upon arrival. The weather was at a 30 year low which caused a few challenges as to proper heating in some of the rooms. An outside pipe burst two days before departure so hot water was an issue. However, we had a wonderful time occupying ourselves in the game room, watching sports & movies on the many tvs as well as family game time. ##### E N. Our extended family of 13, ages 6 - 60(ish) stayed here in July 2019\. We had a great time in Sandpoint and really enjoyed our stay at Newport Estates. The house was a perfect size for us and having the heated pool, hot tub, games room and theatre room definitely added to our stay. Everyone had something to enjoy that suited their tastes. The location was fantastic! Close to the lake and in walking distance of downtown Sandpoint where we shopped, took in the fireworks (Wow! What a show Sandpoint puts on July 4th!), parade and City Beach. The grounds out front of the estate are also beautiful. We did family photos there and the setting was gorgeous. The large kitchen area with dual dishwashers, fridges plus drink cooler and ice maker made it so easy for us to manage our large group's needs without feeling crowded or like we had to limit the amount food or drinks that we brought in. Having 2 laundry areas also came in very handy. This was our first visit to Sandpoint and absolutely loved this gem of a place. There is so much to do and our only regret was not having more time to take it all in. We golfed the Idaho Club (so serene!), took in Silverwood/Boulder Creek Adventure Park (amazing time and barely any line ups), Schwitzer Mountain (could have spent a whole day here had we known how much there was to do before we went), shopping, shopping, shopping in downtown Sandpoint, pool days when it was a little cooler and City Beach when it was hot. There was so much we didn't get to do, nature touring - hiking/biking near Sandpoint, shopping in Coure d'alene, horse adventures, and more time taking in the water sports on the lake. The weather didn't co-operate or we would have taken in the lake more. Fortunately, there is so much to do in and around Sandpoint that we never ran out of things to do, even on the cooler days. If you've never been to Sandpoint it is definitely worth the trip and we would recommend staying at Newport Estates. ##### Shelley C. Our group of 9 along with our two local friends had enough room to gather, and enough room to do remote work. We much appreciated that we did not have to buy dish soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry soap, a sponge, etc. Loved the gas range, 2 dishwashers, 2 sinks, 2 washers and 2 dryers, 2 refrigerators, etc. One of the reasons we chose this property was the location. Even though we had multiple rental cars, we often enjoyed walking to restaurants and shops. Oh! And the hot water was always nice and hot! It was a blast. The accommodations were wonderful and provided space for all of us to gather together as well as find some quiet spots to escape. The pool and hot tub were a huge success and provided a source of many hours of enjoyment. The pool room and parlor were great for some evening hours of music and billiards. Smoke was heavy but we made the best of it. We did a lot of activities around Sandpoint. Cooked several meals together. We were there 10 days. Jackie, the property manager, helped us out a few times when we needed something and very responsive . I gave her a list of some maintenance items that needed attention. The property is not new. The house was lovely and accommodated us perfectly. The yard was made to look great for the wedding and any problems we had were resolved immediately. Our guests brought children and they thoroughly enjoyed the pool as did we all the rest of the week. The game room was a big hit too. We closed everything down at 10pm per instructions which was nice for us too since family members spent days jet skiing, paddle boarding and kayaking. We had such an awesome stay with our sweet family & than had our very magical, romantic wedding reception by the pool! Jackie the house manager totally rocked & was the coolest, most down to earth estate manager we have ever worked with & we have stayed at many vrbo's over the years! She would immediately get back to us every time we had a question or needed to talk! Brian & Melissa the owners were very awesome too!
