There are seventeen businesses on the Wharf: Three full service restaurants, a shellfish restaurant/market, a bait and tackle shop, an old fashioned candy store, wine tasting, a toy store, a shell shop, an ice cream parlor, a palm reader, a general store with clothing/souvenirs, and a marine museum with an interactive marine education facility. Because it’s so close to the harbor, swimming is not advised from the beach. Look for parking along Cabrillo Blvd, in the lot just east of the pier at Garden Street, or even on the pier. Laying in the sand, look back for a gorgeous view of the mountains over the red tile roof buildings.
