Mellow Yellow - Beach Cottage in Seagrove Beach - Pet Friendly

Mellow Yellow is a cozy, family cottage located in the center of Seagrove Beach. This charming house sleeps 6 with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and a large open living area where everyone can enjoy time together. The front wraparound screened porch is loaded with comfortable furniture so you can enjoy the evening's balmy breezes. The backyard is fenced, has a paver area and outdoor shower.

This home has been thoughtfully decorated, including the littlest of details. You'll love the warm cozy feel at this home-away-from home. Enjoy relaxing in the evenings in the living area and snuggling up for a movie night after a long day at the beach. The TVs are outfitted with TiVo and Rokus. Dine at the table or head outside to the fenced-in back yard to enjoy a some dinner al fresco.

Heading out the subdivision, cross 30A and turn right onto the walking path. Take this down a few feet past The Palms to your beach access, Pelayo.

Make your way just down 30A to the beach access and you'll have your toes in the sand within minutes.

Rent a bike and jump on the 20-mile Timpoochee bike trail that runs right around the corner from the neighborhood. Visit famous Seaside and Grayton Beach State Park to the West. For each bathroom it includes: 1 roll of toilet paper, 1 set of soap/body wash/shampoo/conditioner/lotion. For towels you will receive: 1 body towel/1 washcloth per guest and 2 hand towels per bathroom, plus 2 washing machine pods.

Too Mellow on Cleanliness
VERY DISAPPOINTING!!! While the overall layout, decor, and location were nice, if you look closely at this rental you are likely to find something much nicer for the same money. The floors were VERY dirty, the sofa had a blanket over the cushion ( which I never looked under - I was afraid), the vent in hall bathroom didn’t work, and even the toilet was not stable and moved way more than just being a little loose. The kitchen was ill equipped- we had to call immediately for skillets as the 2 in home were beyond use. Also we were given 2 glasses for 4 adults. This rental did not have a fully stocked kitchen that our group has become accustomed to when staying in such a nice area, not even a wooden spoon!!!! Upon arrival we also noticed the pool was closed and when we called to inquire we’re told they had no idea and would contact the HOA and let us know( which never happened). I will say that when we called for new skillets and glasses we were brought 2 new skillets and plastic cups pretty quickly. The location was great and being on a cul de sac was a plus. It was a very short walk or bike ride to the beach. Overall I would recommend to keep looking - maybe with another management company.

Seagrove Groove at Mellow Yellow
Took my wife, son and his wife and son and had plenty of room. Great for 2 couples with an extra bedroom. A 3 minute walk to the beach and great biking away from busy Seaside. Seagrove is the best kept secret on 30A. Oh yeah, we're staying there next year.

Great location, beautiful place!
We really loved this house for our vacation! We will likely use it again in the future. It was nicely decorated, clean, no bugs, fresh linens, had miscellaneous kitchen & bath items we needed, which made it really nice for our stay.

Mellow Yellow is great - needs some updates and better management
The location is excellent and the house is adorable. There is a LOT of wear and tear in the house that has not been tended too. The management company was less than helpful and the house was not cleaned well when we arrived (ants/floors and counters dirty/hair in the tub). Painting is needed in this house and just some simple things that would spruce it quite a bit. Be careful when using Benchmark for your stay as they are really not that helpful. Yes they offered to come and clean the home for us but after you have already unpacked the car, you do not want people coming and cleaning around your stuff. In addition, they did not even notify us that they were bringing a new dryer and just showed up to come in. Imagine if we were not there and they just helped themselves!! again, location is AWESOME and the street is nice and quiet.

Upon arrival the mold and mildew odor hit us. Used soap was found in one of the “clean” bathrooms,.
Mold and mildew smell was consuming. We’ve never experienced that in many or all our past rentals. The used soap was found in the bathtub. One of the bedspreads had a crusty substance on it, the throw pillows were white and had make-up smeared all over them. The washer was not working, but we were informed prior our stay. We did not need the use of a washer so advised to wait until our lease was up to repair. Most all Appliances are old and needing repairs. Even our towels smelled of mold and mildew. Toiletry supplies were meager (1 and 1/2 total rolls of TP for 4 ppl over 5 days, and 1 paper towel roll, one dishwasher soap pod for 1 load, and no Kleenex) was provided. Access to the beach was short and easy walk as described in the add. Would not consider to rent again.

Great stay.
Small maintenance issues but nothing that interrupted or made our stay uncomfortable. When maintenance was called, they arrived to address the problem within an hour. Great location, home appointed very nicely, AC worked very well (that was important to me), beds were comfortable, water pressure great, I would stay again.

The location is nice. Quick trip to the beach access, and close to the downtown area. Nice backyard seating for evening picnics with the family. Pool is close for the kids. Was disappointed with two things. First it wasn’t particularly clean when we arrived. Floors didn’t appear to have been swept or mopped. Secondly the washing machine didn’t work when we arrived and we were unable to get management to have it fixed during our week long stay. Not being able to wash towels, clothing, and bathing suits while at the beach is a big problem for me
