"Fantastic location in a very picturesque setting with a lovely little river flowing across the bottom of the field. The Shepherds hut was spotless with home made cakes an eggs supplied by the owner. The only thing that spoiled it for us was the chemical toilet smell that seemed to linger around the hut and we had to burn a lavender candle (provided ) to take it away. Not sure if it is normal for it to smell strongly but looking at previous reviews , probably not. "

"The two of us enjoyed our stay at Tower View, it is in a quiet location but only a short drive from Bowness/Windermere. A fire pit, BBQ and ample outdoor seating is provided in the west facing garden, but at the end of September the evenings were cool so we used the comfortable lounge and good sized dining room. The house is very well equipped and we would happily stay again. Minor grumbles would be the incredibly creaky wooden floors downstairs and the awkward vehicle access, but neither of...
