"This is a nice calm place to escape to reconnect with nature and a slower pace of living. There are lots of nature trails to hike. Aveiro and Porto are an hour away, but you have some very unique tourism opportunities about 10 minutes away in S. João da Madeira with their industry tourism and hat and shoe museum!"

"Fatima was a gracious host! Beautiful home with stone walls. Gave a great Portuguese experience. Lovely view!! Only wish it was warmer to use the pool! We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio sipping our Porto, taking in the view to the smell of orange blossoms! Truly lovely!"

"The property was stunning. Eleana, the property manager, was timely and always provided excellent suggestions. This is your place if you want something quiet and off the beaten path. "Breakfast was a bit shambolic. Scrambled egg, bacon, mushrooms and sausage for a cooked option is lacking somewhat. Even with such little hot selection it was rarely replenished meaning a wait. When the hotel is full, they'll never cope with thr size of the kitchen and the restaurant. That was the only disappointing thinking. Other than that, a faultless stay. "
