The Lucinda Group was not your average situation. Unfortunately, they brought a pet that wasn’t on the reservation and left a day early without notice. After getting back home, they mentioned that they left because our hot tub was out of service. However, It was working perfectly. After speaking with the Hot Tub professional, who services our Tub, he did go, and/fill the tub on Friday, but it was ready for them to use Friday evening. The Hot Tub guy also mentioned that they weren’t worried about the water being changed because they did not intend on using the tub. So we are pretty confused about the entire situation. We love everything to go smoothly, but this was not your average experience. They did not ask for a refund or tell us anything about the Hot Tub situation, they just left an entire day early without mention. Only to let us know after the fact when they got home, why they left. It’s really too bad because this was a non-issue and had we known, we could’ve directed them to just use the hot tub because it was working perfectly. The name of the game is communication and we did our best, but when you don’t know, there is an issue, even if it’s a complete misunderstanding, it’s really hard to solve it.

We wanted to have the outdoor areas be the highlights of the experience since Sedona is such a fun outdoor wonderland of activities! Nikki, You and the Bachelorette crew were kind, clean, respectful and NOT what most hosts feel about accepting a "Bachelorette" reservation. Normally when you see this type of group you cringe thinking there's going to be a wild event.... You did it right! Thank you thank you thank you for being respectful to my home and my neighbors. To whomever reads this review: I’ve been a professional host for nearly 22 years since college. We take hospitality VERY seriously. This review feels like a poke from a sharp stick that came out of nowhere!! For a guest to leave a review like this without having the willingness to communicate is just sad. I tried to reach out to the guest during the stay to check in after arrival (as we always do) but there was no reply. Stove: Our stove works perfectly but if there was an issue understanding how to operate the gas top, the broiler or the oven, a quick call or message could have had help on the scene or a FaceTime tutorial in a matter of seconds. We inspect appliances before and after every stay. Any issues with the stove were operator error. This home is located in west Sedona which was developed in the 50’s and 60’s. Sedona is an artsy town with colorful and chill people. These are the largest lots in town since they are some of the oldest. Our home was built in the 60’s hence the ranch style. It’s made of blocks and stucco. It sits on three lots. Two lots wide and one that goes street to street where we placed the tipi. You have tons of space on all four sides of the home. Our home and grounds look exactly (we’ve upgraded some art and rotate art through the properties we have in Sedona just to keep it interesting) like the pictures. It’s a funky and fun place. A family place. A whimsical place perfectly set in the red rocks. To say that the home isn’t kept up is purely false. It’s been renovated from top to bottom this year and last year, freshly painted inside and out and a few old-school elements kept just for the sake of design as well as functionality of the spaces. The neighborhood is awesome and we feel the house is too! We care deeply about the happiness of guests and the couple of times my local partner drove by they were having a wonderful time in the yard, having bonfires, laughing and playing on the property and cooking outside. I’m really just shocked at the manners of this guest. Hosts can’t read minds as much as we wish we could. If you are thinking of booking this home we would greatly appreciate you overlooking this review. Lastly: To any guest reading please communicate with your hosts regardless of where you stay. It helps us understand your expectations and do better for all parties involved. With Aloha, Billy and Tiger.
