Please do not book your stay here. Everything is horrible. Dirty sheets, old towels and dirty. Customer service is terrible. You can’t get hold of them on their office phone number.
The room was somewhat clean, looked like the bed was just straightened up from the last tennant with no fresh bedding. The towels were clean for very used towel. The mirror was still dirty from prevous tennants. The floor was swept but not mopped. The pullows were very, very used flat and not comfortable. The premises were somewhat quiet but questionable. No breakfast. If it was no one told us.
Filthy, the attendant was living in the front room. The room i was shown seemed to have been just slept in and the next room was dark, only two lights work. It whole place was FILTHY!
I did not stay, i had to scramble around and find another place to stay!!!!!
It's an old facility and very run down. The "continental breakfast" consisted of Cheerios and milk. I would not recommend and I will not be staying here again.

The room was clean very old building
Well the staff were nice room was clean. ..but the bed fell apart with me in it I asked for clean towels never received them.
Wasvput in a dirty room had to go back n ask for another room. No coffee packets to go with coffee pot in room. Bsthroom tub n wall tile nerded cleaning. The room that was firstvrentrd to me had sheets strippefvn yradh tsken out. Never saw vacuuming or cleaning performed on room. My room was not cleaned on second day.there was coffee n three pastries, very small qty of cereal. Next day room was cleaned, but only coffee for breakfast nothing else.
They are under going a remodel, there was only a bed and a broken chair in my room. I work nights while I'm out of town and when I showed up in the morning the lights I left on were turned off. I said something to the female manager and she said she goes in and turn everyone's light and tvs off when they are not in. When I told her she could not just go in to do that I was told that she owns the place and can do what ever she wants. I will not stay here again ever.

At the Americas
I was comfortable. The staff were courteous and attentive
Don't be fooled by the pictures and few amenities.
Stayed there for 3 nights, and on one of the days, no one bothered to show up with "fresh" towels or to change the linens, so my husband tracked down the towel lady. The room stank when we first got there, so maybe someone just needed to open the doors to let in the fresh air. The bed was uncomfortable, but thankfully I always take my own pillow on vacation, so at least I wasn't in as much pain as my husband was. The "fresh" towels are yellow with age, and one even had some sort of black residue which I was told would not wash out, so I picked out a "cleaner" looking one for my 7 year old daughter. The WiFi was terrible, and there really wasn't a breakfast to speak of. Also the pool was still covered which makes me think there is something wrong with it. This is the hotel that you stay in when all other hotels are already booked in Selma. Unless Budget Inn is your other choice, America's Best is better than my horrible experience at Budget Inn years ago. Do your best to book early when staying in Selma to stay away from the bad hotels.
It is not worth the money that we paid. The photo posted on Expedia is much nicer then real facilities... I booked this one based on the photo, it looks clean & modern. There was no lights on the sign & parking lot. We only saw one staff on the site for the morning & night, and while very nice, she could not answer our question. For this level of "INN" in a small town, the rate should be under $45.00.

A nice stay
We had a nice stay. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. My only complaint was that at 9am, their continental breakfast was only white bread (that could be toasted luckily) and cheerios and milk and orange juice. I'm not sure if breakfast was actually over by then, but choices were limited.
Thank God I asked to view a room before staying. The room had holes in the walls, bugs, and the quilts had holes in it. I told the hotel owner and she was beyond rude. I canceled the room and I still was charged. I almost had to call the cops to get my refund. I spent double the amount at another hotle but it was worth it.
p.s another customer arrived and had the same complaint.
I had booked this hotel for two members of my group. They were to arrive late, so I called the hotel, directly, the day before, to confirm the bookings. The clerk was impossible to understand---very thick Indian accent. She could not locate one of the reservations. I had to have Hotels.com call her and "help" her find it. This took a lot of time from my business. When my group members arrived, one was given a room that smelled badly of smoke, though I had booked non-smoking. The other member had trouble sleeping, because the strong smell of garlic was overwhelming at the whole complex. Very BAD experience!!!!
I arrived very late at night after having to work late at my office four hours away, but the clerk was so very nice even though I had awakened her to check me in. The motel does not look very nice from the outside and is in a terrible run down town, but I was very pleased with the spacious clean room and the good bed.
This was a very run down hotel. Front desk very unfriendly. The first room they gave us A/C not working and ants and bugs all over. Smelled real Bad.Unless you can't find anywhere else i would not stay here
After booking online and indicating very clearly that we were traveling with two service dogs, the woman at the reception desk wanted to charge us an additional $100 for the dogs. As soon as I told her I was going to call hotels.com, she said we were ok. We had to be put in three different rooms due to broken TVs, broken water, etc. but we had a dry night of sleep.
After an 8 hour drive from Dallas, TX for a funeral, we needed to rest. Upon our arrival they couldn't find our paid reservation. The first room we were given was nice, but we had requested smoking. No problem, the change was made quickly to a smoking room. The room was terrible; the bed was poorly made, the pillows were almost non existent and the shower had mold. Yes, I understand that smokin hs been banded in most hotels, but even smoking visitors deserve a modicrum of respect and cleanliness as paying customers.
The worst events happened at 10 pm. Approximately 15 -20 individuals were having a party in the parking lot. Managment acted as if this was the normal course of business. We called the front desk to complain, her suggestion was to change our room; not call the police. All of the rooms exit to the parking lot, how was this suppose to help. We checked out without even partial a refund, after four hours.
And they tried to double billed us!
If yu are going to be in the Selma, AL area, DO NOT stay at this hotel. Spend the extra an reserve a room at one of the larger hotel chains.

Mixed emotions. Be prepared to eat out.
Mixed feeling about this hotel. The king bed was pillowtop and very comfortable. The room was clean and comfy. The only issue was the toilet. Water wasn't filling the tank. Turned the knob down by the floor to no avail. No water. Had to fill using the sink to be able to flush. But the worst thing about the hotel was the breakfast. Had a waffle iron. Not turned on because there was not batter. Plenty of syrup in the cabinet. No batter. Bread was more mold than bread. Just laying out for over an hour because no one attended to the breakfast. Too embarrassed to go in there to clean up, so pathetic stuff just sitting there for the next people to come in and see. Had nice juice machine. Didn't work properly, so there was a gallon of milk and orange DRINK in a small fridge. Pastries were hard. The muffins were the only things that seemed fresh and tasted the way you would have expected. No breakfast would have been better than what was offered here. Be aware and prepared to not eat on the premises. The room was better than expected. The toilet and the breakfast needs to be flushed.

just ok, nothing special
Make sure you have a copy of your reservations as when I arrived they did not have me down for having a reservation. The room itself was ok nothing special, fairly clean nice size king bed. Never checked out breakfast but it didn't look like anything too spectacular. Overall this hotel was ok for the price and location.

THE ROOM WAS VERY WORN AND SMELLED. THE BED WAS COMFORTABLE BUT THE TV AND REMOTE WERE WACK. THE PLACE IS IN SERIOUS NEED OF UPGRADES IN "ALL" AREAS.
Bathroom horriable. Mold in tub.carpet dirty, I fell out of chair that only had three and a half legs, sheets on bed were just thron on no tucks. No smell of clean.
