"The apartment itself was not very well looked after. The bathroom had fungus on the floor. The pipe in the shower was clogged a little, creating a pool if you stayed a bit in the shower. The paint on the ceiling was peeling off. The rooms were okay and we did not lack anything, but it was a bit cramped for a family of four. There was washing machine but that one was dirty. Not the inside of the machine but the plastic container in which you put the powder was black with fungus. Personally, I did...

"I can highly recommend this hotel. The staff is wonderful. There is a free transfer from the train station by bus and we were able to get into our room an hour early. The sheets on the bed were pristine and the breakfast in the morning was outstanding. We were able to walk to the palace and university up the hill and down to the river."

Location is central at first it feels a bit grity8 but across street is a great b akery, a few feet away is a Farmacia, abit further ,very good self service laundry an 1 block away is the post office . Also 1/2 block great restsurant and enterance to the fun area with plazas shops and restsurant....you can walk up hill to University. Be sure to see the Fado performance. Breakfast is a small buffet with obligatory scrambled eggs,bacon and rolls. Good hot chocolate out of machine that does coffee also. The best part is the STAFF!. Rooms clean and functional, free parking was appreciated."

There is only one option for dinner and it was pricey. There is no wi-fi in the room, only the area near the bar. The TV in the room only has Portuguese channels. It would have been nice to have music playing in the bar/lounge."
