Sign Post Forest is a collection of signs at Watson Lake, Yukon and is one of the most famous of the landmarks along the Alaska Highway. It was started by a homesick GI in 1942. He was assigned light duty while recovering from an injury and erected the signpost for his hometown: Danville, Ill. 2835 miles. Visitors may add their own signs to the over 80,000 already present. #LikeALocal

The room and hotel were fine, but the outrageous “resort fees” are an insulting joke. The hefty, MANDATORY fee provides access to the pool and gym. What? These amenities are included at the vast majority of hotels (although not in Vegas), even cheap ones. And there’s nothing special about the Harrah’s pool or gym, and both were mostly deserted. Afterall, have you ever heard of someone going to Las Vegas to work out?

Prime location within walking distance to all the hot spots. Included are 2 beach chairs with towels per day. Philip at the concierge received us warmly…checking us in early and giving us great recommendations. Room was a great size, A/C, with bathroom amenities. Overall, totally recommend.
