My first impressions weren’t great, I phoned the hotel directly and was quoted £50 more than Expedia and was told they couldn’t match the price.
The hotel itself is lovely, exceptionally clean and well presented. They are renovating some parts at the moment so it’s not looking it’s best, but the works aren’t particularly impactful
The room is lovely, spacious, clean and well stocked with a kettle, coffee machine and fresh milk (a lovely bonus). We loved the bath. and the bubble bath was a lovely touch.
We ate on the roof terrace, which was OK, the tables weren’t clean, but not awful. The cocktails were watered down, mine tasted of soda water, but they swapped it with no problem. The pizzas are incredible, I honestly haven’t had one this nice outside Italy. The bill was £40 over priced, they’d mixed up a few of the orders, but it was sorted easily and quickly (I would check your bill, it’s slightly chaotic). The staff are friendly and helpful, so all niggles were sorted quickly, but it does give the impression of being badly organised.
The location of this hotel is perfect, we’d definitely stay again. I would say the price point is too high for the experience, but it wouldn’t take much to improve.
