"The staff at the blue jay pub were absolutely lovely and so helpful ,all i have to say is probably a member of staff needs to be alocated in the hotel to save keep walking to the pub to get extra milk ,sugar and toilet roll ,oh and the doors from the hotel room doors are the most loud and scary ones being slammed for hours and hours on end and the floor from the room above us we were room 108 is the most loudest floor heard every footstep all around there rokm so came back from weekend stay...

"Excellent hotel, service is great, food in pub is spot on. One word of warning, and this is an expedia issue is that the pin location that they have set for this hotel is 1.8 miles off, meaning if you are there for an event you are 35-40 minutes walk away from where you thought you was. Very misleading. Not the hotels fault but there is nowhere else to put this. Hotel was spot on, thank you"

"Good sized room and the bed was huge. The rooms are above the bar area which was fine as its wasn't too noisy. The car parking is easy as there is loads of space. I used this location as it was a short drive to the Water Sports Centre in Nottingham. the kitchens close about 8:30 ish so if you are late back for food I can recommend the Indian about 100mtrs down the road. All in all a nice location for a few days away"

"My Daughter and I have just had a 2 night stay at the Forest Lodge having traveled up from Kent for a wedding. On arrival we were greeted and immediately were made to feel welcome , nothing was a problem , All the staff were amazing and we would like to say a huge thank you for making our stay so pleasurable . "We came here as I’m sure many do as a base for our Alton Towers adventures. The accommodation is basic but perfectly suited for this. After all we just needed a comfortable place for our family of four (inc. teenagers) to rest, wash and eat breakfast. Service was friendly and efficient. Breakfast was yum and everything was reasonably priced. Thank you!"

"Brilliant Hotel with underground parking which was £10 for 24 hours. 5 minute walk to the shops. Right next door is the famous Rock City and we did wonder if we’d hear any noise from this but absolutely nothing at all and we stayed on a Friday night when it was open, our room was on the same side as Rock City and our window was in vent and still no noise at all. The facilities in the room were amazing it was like a mini apartment with a kitchen and everything you would need in it, fridge with...

"Room 8- the bathroom had a bit of a strange smell. This is just a comment, no a complaint. The main door doesn't always close properly. These are just little things- overall very good."
