The location is stunning and the Plough Inn is a lovely pub. The staff we met were very friendly and helpful and the food in the pub (breakfast and dinner) was excellent. The Shepherd Hut was perfect. It was well equipped, clean, comfortable and incredibly relaxing. We stayed here for 2 nights. Good car parking area. Clean spacious family room with a double bed plus a double sofa bed & a single convertible chair both were extended for 3 of us. There was hardly any space to walk in the room. Bathroom was clean with toiletries. On the first day we ordered pizza and burger for dinner. Vegetarian pizza had no flavour and too expensive. The next day we decided to drive to Sheffield for dinner. Breakfast was fairy good. Though the payment for the room & breakfast was paid online upfront at check out we were told that an additional payment of £40 was due! They understood that there was an error in their billing but didn't bother to apologise.
