“Whitehall is an old lodge a few blocks from the center of Camden. Road noise can be heard from Route 1, which passes directly in front. Our room was on the ground level and the sound of people walking in the room overhead was an annoying. The common areas are spacious. The breakfast room would seat 100 people, but we were the only people having breakfast. The breakfast was weird, and we had only a tasteless croissant, an orange and coffee. We should have gone into town for those blueberry……

“Would have loved to have more time to stay at the property and enjoy the lake - it was beautiful! The house itself was fine - my friend described it as a giant shed. But there needs to be pillow protectors on the pillows - it sucks when you're a non-smoker, haven't brought your own pillows from home, put your head down late at night to finally go to sleep and get the stench of cigarette smoke. I don't believe anyone had been smoking inside but I do believe smokers had rented the property before……

“We had an excellent stay. The property is located conveniently to Rockland/Rockport/Camden and even Waldoboro so we were able to go to The famous Moddys Diner! The unit was clean with plenty of linens. Washer and dryer, dishwasher- these amenities helped us to relax and enjoy our vacation. They had auxillary heaters but we didn't even need them it was so warm in there. The kitchen was stocked with enough implements which allowed us to easily make home cooked meals.
