Helpful young receptionist gave me an upgrade. I had the room 30 with kitchen and lovely ocen wiev. 👍the property is dated, but still in good condition and great located, just several steps from the see. Nice, collony style hotel should be renovated a little, but still very convenient for location and money. Restaurant doesn't work, do self catering.

This is a simple place with minimal amenities but right on the gorgeous Grand Anse beach where you can walk to find plenty to eat, drink, and do. And great air con and shower.

On checking in staff pretended there were minor issues: 1.Broken safety security box for the duration of stay 2. No kettle or coffee maker for the first three days 3.Broken ice maker throughout the hotel: I was told it wad being fixed which again was a lie. 4.Closed restaurant, no vending machine it was very Hot and humid 5. No rental car service 4. The beach in front of hotel was not good for swimming, we had to walk 3/4mile along the beach for the most part part we took a bus. 5.Room was small for a couple although we paid premium for ocean view. 6. Bath towels were old and stained. 7. Hotel towels were discoloured. 8. Had to fix toilet that had a stuck chain. No service for 24 hrs. Contact was by what’s app. 9. Seems management was not interested in maintenance as when rain fell there were broken guttering that poured water on the porch. 10. Room was clean every 2 days,I had to go to office to demand the room be clean. 11. They tried to exchange the room for another room but it was dirty, smelly and had broken furniture in it.

Hotel is situated on a quiet spot at the end of Grande Anse beach. Access to main beach can be a bit difficult at high tide or when strong waves. Our initial room was not quite what we expected, but after discussion with Hotel staff we were moved to a more convenient room/apartment. Although the restaurant was not open the kitchen facilities were very good allowing breakfast and lunches to be easily and conveniently prepared. The garden was very convenient for relaxing in away from the beach. The hotel is beginning to show its age, but the position, facilities and helpful staff made for an enjoyable stay in a kind of old colonial hotel.

It was quiet and peaceful. The staff was very helpful. I didn't like the steps on the back to get onto the beach. Oh and no food on premises but other places on the beach to eat made it helpful.

Internet poor and the place nasty.No shampoo no coffee and noisy.the service very poor also no place to eat . Water not available and no place to eat. This place should not be futures on Expedia or on any travel guid. I would give it zero rating

Hello Fraid,When you arrived at the hotel you got an upgrade to a 1 Bedroom Apartment with a full kitchenette and that had coffee, teabag, Sugar etc in the room. (Booked a Standard Room).(Coffee, teabag, sugar etc is only given on arrival).Our company policies we do not allow smoking in the rooms which was also told to you the day of arrival to the hotel.Due to the smoke affecting the other guest we had no choice but to move you to another room.Also we notified on our website that our restaurant is temporarily closed, so therefore we don't serve and meals.Thank you for staying with us.Best Regards,

Not the best place to stay
Pros. Right on the beach. Views from SOME rooms is good. Great staff! Cons. In absolutely terrible condition. Really run down. Paper thin walls. No beach and can't even walk to the main beach due to the high water and many rocks. Sheets and towels old. I can not recommend this property.

Staff has no say so you can't hold them responsible Its funny how they have to cover for management Even have to say they are in the shower. Management was never available to speak to Checked out after 2 days . Will like to attach photos of the surroundings. I think Expedia needs to be very careful in what or where they are advertising. Found a hotel without Expedia 😌

Great room with spectacular sea views. Access to the beach is very tricky. You have to walk down a steep slope then, holding a rope which is provided and attached to a strong railing, drop down sboit 18 inches to the beach. Can be difficult at high tide.

Enjoyed our week stay at this property. Staff was welcoming and the owner Sharon was very lovely. Note the beachside door to property locks at 9 pm for guests safety…there is a key on the room ring that lets you open door after hours😁. Krissy & Derek

The property could do with a makeover, it was a bit tired. The staff were very pleasant and the position was excellent. It was not easy accessing the beach at high tide from the property.

Not a 3 star hotel, but it has an at 'home feeling'. My family and I stayed there for two nights and it was comfortable enough. One noteworthy point was that we were allowed to check in a bit earlier as we were travelling to attend funeral and needed to store our luggage. We were also allowed late check out as we had a night flight returning home. Thank you so much Grand Anse Palace for accommodating, us We will definitely return.
