“We stayed at the”Blackhaus” January 19-23. The house was perfect for our 3 teenage boys and my wife and I. It is a bit off the road which offers serenity and peace. The house is well appointed and met all of our needs. It is located just about 8 minutes from whiteface ski resort and about 22 minutes to lake placid. I Will definitely stay here again. ”

We spent all of our time hiking and biking in the Wilmington area, which was easy to get to. But Lake Placid or the High Peaks are also close, if that’s why you’re staying. The cabin was charming. “An old fashioned, rustic family camp on Lake Champlain with great views and a neat path down the hill to a nice sandy beach in a protected cove. Private and quiet but a shared beach with friendly neighbors. A big screened in porch and comfy beds were perfect for a laid back family gathering. ”

“I booked this location for a Father & Son fishing trip. It was perfect! Over the week we caught over 20 fish a day in the pond. Between the boat and the kayaks we explored the entirety of Fern Lake. We also had an opportunity to fly fish one of the best rivers only 20 minutes away. The Camp was in excellent shape. Perfect for our trip or an entire family!!!”
