I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Bottleworks Hotel and was truly impressed by the property. The design, ambiance, and attention to detail are exceptional — a beautiful blend of historic preservation and modern luxury.
Unfortunately, my experience at check-in significantly impacted what could have been an entirely positive stay.
Upon arrival, I interacted with a manager of guest services named Allyson. Her tone and demeanor were unprofessional, loud, and frankly demeaning. The interaction lacked courtesy, compassion, and the level of service expected from a hospitality professional — especially one in a leadership position. I respectfully expressed that I did not appreciate how I was being spoken to, but the overall experience left a negative impression that stayed with me throughout my visit.
For a hotel of this caliber, the guest service experience should match the quality of the surroundings. If Allyson is to continue representing the hotel in a guest-facing leadership role, I strongly recommend additional training in customer service and communication.
