Beautiful property with extra cozy room. Well decorated. Host was more than accomodating as we artived much later than expected. Had a great night sleep and a beautiful breakfast was teady for us the next morning. Definitely recommended Thank you Roger!!

A warm welcome with all covid aspects covered Food and service excellent ...if you like a big meal this is the place for you , nice quiet location and lovely garden to sit in a good bed and facilities in room ..would stay again

Short stay at the Great Danes
A real gem of a country retreat it was so peaceful & quiet. The hosts were friendly & informative about the local area. The food was very good & all the Covid19 formalities were in place. A really good 1night stay

Accomodation is lovely, peaceful, so relaxing garden view, room is clean, continental breakfast lot to choose. Our children love the location because you can up close encounter with wild deer, so many wild rabbits etc. CAROL the owner is very lovely , its ashamed we didnt manage to meet her because of covid. She save our holiday after expedia offer the non existing room, luckily I message carol that we our coming that day and she said that is no longer available but still expedia advertising it. Anyway carol sort out everything and she assured us, she even move other people so that we can be together in one room, we are so touch with that gesture.. We love to stay again..

We had a lovely room, fully adequate for our needs, very clean and very comfy bed. Breakfast was very good and a huge amount to choose from.

Very quiet location,but close enough to many areas of interest. Had a few minor hiccups, but nothing that would stop us returning for another visit. The room was very spacious and the shower room was more than adequate.

Basic B&B -ok for 1 night
Owner would not allow us to check in/leave our luggage before stated in check in time. Only continental breakfast provided and served in a very haphazard/small area.

Thank you for your review..the things you mention..I.e.check in time and Buffet Breakfast are all mentioned on Expedia when you book ! We are not an Hotel..but a Licenced Bed & Breakfast.

Top bnb
The b&b is a well run place in the middle of nowhere Swaffham. We had a lovely, comfortable and clean room. There was a really great selection of foods at breakfast and even a hot breakfast option for a little extra. Very satisfied.

Unusual experience
Checked in at 6pm. Owner clearly expecting us and took us quickly to our room. Comfortable room. Spacious bathroom. Good wi-fi. No information about breakfast/dining arrangements. We had intended to eat in but 2 grizzling children in the dining area put us off. No sign of the owner anyway. Breakfast p!dutiful but completely he!p yourself. Brief appearance of the owner, no other guests! Cooked breakfast would have cost an extra £7.50 each and had to be ordered the previous night. We rummaged in the cupboards to locate items and felt rather uncomfortable. Strange to find an exercise machine in the middle of the dining area. Convenient location certainly no warm welcome. Doors locked, no sign of the bar trading for the local community. Strange experience for a country inn.

Oops.. sorry you weren't happy with the way we present our business..we are not a Pub..but a Licensed Guest House..run just by the two of us .. From what I am told there were no GRIZZLING children !!..Sorry if we didn't live up to your expectations...

Great Danes Country Inn
A great find if you want peace and tranquillity. As it's an inn you could eat in the evenings as well without having to drive and the food was superb. My husband reckons it's the best steak and ale pie he's had and the whitebate was superb. We'll stay again if we're in the area.

It was close to the Iceni Village a very good site, small room and the water was a problem, had to use nbottles

There is not a problem with the water...we have a Water softener for your comfort in the shower..and we supply bottled water for you to drink..crazy !

Friendly place to stay
I stayed for 3 days in great Danes with my son and had a very good time. The owners son made my 11 year old son his friend and made our stay very enjoyable. It is in a quiet country lane opposite the village green with it's church. There is a children's play ground nearby which is hardly used. We went to bewilderwood had a good time, spend a day exploring the Norfolk broads in our very own boat driven by my son and also visited langham glass and go ape in the thetford forest. Good location to drive round the region.

October visit
I arrived late from London about 9pm, was welcomed and shown room and asked if I wanted dinner this evening despite the time. They were friendly, and accomodating to cooking me so late and the food was of excellent quality. It was fine that cod was available and not the haddock as it was late, despite me wanting haddock as a varied choice. Very nice continental breakfast, and relaxed atmosphere over breakfast. Checked out bit after 10am as up in bar bit late and this was fine.
