Worst hotel

Posted Aug 25, 2016
I live on the road and have stayed in some questionable hotels. This hotel is one of the worst I've stayed in. Its not even that much of a value, and I would rather spend extra not to stay in such a place.

We arrived late, thankfully office is open 24hours. Easy check-in but kinda downhill from there - room keys didn't work due to "dying battery" in the door, dirty room, mold in tub, popcorn on floor (with a lot of other stuff), no coffee maker in room, and breakfast after 7am. Unfortunately we had to check out by 6am so no coffee (horror!). Glad I didn't see the room in full light but the price was low. Note to self: you get what you pay for.

Disgusting Hotel

Posted Apr 10, 2016
Pros: Absolutely nothing.
Cons: Everything - needs to be torn down and rebuilt. Also needs a new staff.
Location: The general location is not bad. Even though it is situated near a tractor-trailer storage lot, the hotel could at least pick up the trash/debris.
Likely the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The clerk who checked us in was irritated that other guests behind us had shown up, saying "Ugh, these people just won't stop coming in." Upon entering the building where our room was located, the cigarette smell was unbearable (our room was in a non-smoking section). The room had a foul, stale odor (perhaps from no ventilation?) and later in the day, a strong marijuana smell came from the hallway. Called the front desk about this smell and the availability of another room and he rudely stated "We're completely booked. We can't control what other people in the hotel do." Upon leaving the room for an event, a strong pet urine odor filled the foyer. There was debris all over the ground outside our room. The room door would not always securely close unless we slammed the door shut. Eventually both room keys failed to work. The tiles in the bathroom floor cracked while we walked on them and there were several other cracks already there. The water pressure was poor at best. There was no working ventilation fan for the bathroom. There was an unregistered vehicle in a parking spot with three flat tires and debris all over the inside of it. Expedia was kind enough to refund us for the room. This Howard Johnson site (previously EconoLodge) appears to be one that had relocated from a damaged, rundown site nearby (we could tell by the typical Howard Johnson building style/orange roof). Stay somewhere else if possible.

Under renovation - newer rooms are okay

Posted Jan 16, 2016
Pros: New bed was comfortable
Cons: everything
Location: Stay at the Days Inn across the street - at least until they finish all the renovations.
If you must sty at this motel make sure you are in the front building in a newly renovated room. This was the Ramada and while they ran it they ran it into the ground (worn out carpets, smells of smoke in the no-smoking rooms, entire motel runs out of hot water about 10am and on weekends they run out of brakfast.

Value for money is good

Posted Jan 5, 2016
If you just need a cheap place to spend the night that is a good option. The only issue I faced when I got the room it was so dirty and garbage on the floor but they were friendly enough to apologize and change the room after that everything went fine. For me I'd rather pay a little extra and get a little better condition
