Great location - MRT and the night market are within walking distance. The Self check in/out was easy. The room was equipped with the drinking water, tea/instant coffee, bathroom essentials and disposable slippers. My suggestion for improvement was about the floor carpet of which was old and stained.

While this is mostly a self-service facility, the staff were very helpful getting us checked in after a long flight.

Reasonable Stay

It was very good to stay there in a reasonable condition. The room was very clean and cozy enough to sleep well. Just staying there for night and having a solo trip around Taipei city, it was very good choice to be there near Shilin night market. If I have any chance to be there, someday, I’d like to have a reservation again.

Room was fine. It did not look like what was advertised. Self check inn didn’t work so had to keep running outside to the phone at the front of the building to get checked in. Good location to the night market but thankfully only stayed one night. Would not have stayed long term.

For those who want to explore the city

With no windows, an unmanned front desk, and no luggage storage, don’t expect luxury services at this hotel. But if you’re looking for a centrally located place steps from the Shilin Night Market and are a generally low-maintenance person who will spend most of your time outside, this may be the perfect place for you. I recommend that you download Line app beforehand, as that is the easiest way to reach the hotel staff should you need to. Unlike other reviews, we found our room and the property clean and spacious enough if you only have carry-on sized baggage. The only issue we had was that some of the charging ports didn’t work properly, but it wasn’t a huge issue for us.

There are two good things about this lodging: 1) the room itself is nice; 2) it's super close to the Shilin Night Market. However, I don't recommend staying here because the area right in front of the hotel is very sketchy and there were constantly weirdos and homeless people crouched down right in front of the hotel smoking cigarettes. Because Taipei's public transportation is really good, there is no need to stay at this location - stay somewhere nicer and just take the public transportation if you want to visit Shilin Night Market.

If you are simply in need of a bed

The accommodation's location is excellent, right in the middle of the famous Shilin Night Market and just a 10-minute walk from Jiantan MRT station. However, it's worth noting that there are no room cleaning services during the two-week stay. Additionally, the reception is not manned, which can make the check-in process challenging. On the bright side, the price is reasonable, making it a convenient and affordable option.

Certainly doesnt have a facade that i would associate with accommodation. It doesnt offer any luggage storage and seems lacking in helping tourists achieve pleasant stay with early check out at 11am where breakfast has to be taken outside. Wouldnt recommend anyone with spouse or family to consider.

Not too bad hotel

The stay for 7D6N is ok cos is really near shilin night market. But the room quite small for our family of 4. The pillow is super thin and we asked for more pillow they wanna charge us. The pillow is thin until very hard to sleep so they really should change to a better quality pillow if they dun wanna provide extra pillows. Overall still not that bad and customer services is consider fast and responsive.
