"We rented the property for four nights. The property was covered in dust. The pool was coverd with dirt, pool black worms and dead bugs. Our kids didn't feel safe to swim of course. I reminded the host frequently to come and clean. Finally, the pool was cleaned somehow by the third day. The interior of the house was dusty- spiders and Cocroaches everywhere. The rate wasn't cheap an I came to enjoy my stay not to worry about the property condition or the host's rudness. Please, if you're not...

It is a wonderful calm oasis to come back to after a day sightseeing. Essaouira is a fantastic little place. The medina is full of amazing places to eat and drink and shop. "The hotel was not good. The towels were shockingly old, the pillows REALLY old and the rooms uncomfortable. The whole stay was uncomfortable and shockingly bad for the price they were charging. The service was incredible. Mohammed was amazing. But I feel the owners of Villa Daba whom we never saw must be overcharging and letting the hotel go into disarray. The conditions of the room were shockingly old. I've never in my life seen pillows like this, or towels this old. If you're charging this much and insisting on cash payment, you must provide items not from decades ago. Also, it's not Essaouira. It's deceiving. Everywhere it says Villa Daba Essaouira. But it's 15 min from Essaouira. There is nothing close. Nothing. And the villa only offers a breakfast and that's it. The rooms are really hot and became insufferable at night, you can't open windows, no screens and lots of bugs. Tourist trap. We got a really bad rash from the pool and shower gel. Avoid."

Lovely winter break

"We all really enjoyed our winter break in Dar Do. The property had a traditional Moroccan feel, inc the decor, rooms off the courtyard and plenty of space if you wanted to have some alone time. Said was perfect and was immediately available if we needed anything. We'd also recommend his wife's tagine, which was delicious. All in all would definitely recommend. "
