"The website photos of the hotel etc are a bit misleading; the hotel is situated on a limited site close to a busy rural road with the garden, swimming pool and other leisure activities up a steep hill behind the hotel building. These facilities are accessed by steep steps. Car parking is at the front of the hotel building and limited in size and requires quick dashes across on-coming traffic to enter or exit. The hotel building itself is beautiful and the staff friendly & helpful but only...

Playa de Laxe

10/10 Excellent

"Receptionists Maria & Silvia were outstanding, always helpful and kind"

In the heart of the Costa da Morte and the Camiño dos Faros, near the beaches and surrounded by nature.

10/10 Excellent

"It was perfect! A very nice home in the silence and 2 km from great beach and the best seafood and fish that I bought in the mariscos frescos shop at 3 km away. Thus a great beach and picnic day followed by a great food dinner. Loved it and so did my dog !"

Country House with Private Pool & Garden Near Beaches, Costa da Morte, Galicia

10/10 Excellent

"Das Haus ist wirklich sehr schön. Groß, geräumig, sehr sauber. Alles funktioniert einwandfrei.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Tella?

The best area to stay in Tella is directly within the village of Tella itself, or in the nearby hamlet of Revilla.

Tella village is small and located in the Pyrenees mountains, offering direct access to hiking trails and stunning natural scenery. Its central feature is the 16th-century Hermitage of the Saints John and Paul, and the Dolmen de Tella is just a short walk away. This area is ideal for couples seeking a tranquil getaway.

For travelers who appreciate a balance of convenience and natural beauty, Revilla is an excellent choice. It's only a few kilometers from Tella and provides similar mountain views and access to outdoor activities, but often with more accommodation options.

When is the best time to go to Tella?

The best time to visit Tella is typically during the late spring (May to June) or early autumn (September to October). These months offer pleasant weather, ideal for exploring the region's natural beauty without the peak summer crowds.

For those interested in hiking and outdoor activities, May and June provide comfortable temperatures and lush landscapes as the flora fully blooms. The days are long, allowing for extensive exploration of the trails around Monte Pindo and the Xallas River waterfalls.

September and October are excellent for visitors who prefer slightly cooler temperatures and fewer tourists. The autumn colors begin to appear, adding a different kind of beauty to the Galician countryside.
