"Magnificent property with breath taking views, and the most wonderful and hospitable host. The property is serene, comfortable and relaxing. The town of Contursi Termi is quaint and the people are very friendly and helpful. The Monday market was amazingly accessible. Salvatore made us feel like we were at home and that was before pizza night! Oh, the pizza! Hang in there folks, you really can eat all those pizzas! Thank you Salvatore for your generosity and warmth. Villetta Italia now tops our list of best places in all of Europe - not just Italy."

"We loved our stay here. We picked this hotel because of the electric car charger so that we could charge our rental car overnight on our way from Bari to Sorrento. We had a lovely dinner and the host was very hospitable 😀"

"We booked a room, showed up before checkin time and they were not operating yet for the season. Mistakes happen, so we weren’t too upset as we found a nearby room at Hotel Portobello . The groundskeeper told us to get a refund thru Expedia. Expedia contacted the hotel, the hotel denied our refund. They said we didn’t cancel within the cancelation time frame?? This place is such a scam. I do not recommend unless you want to risk losing your money. "

"I should start by saying I never planned to stay at this hotel. Our flight was delayed overnight & we had a last minute panic looking for hotels late in the evening. I feel like we had won the lottery when we had booked this hotel & got to see in the light of day what a beautiful space we were in. We arrived at the hotel very late - 11:45pm. Whilst the kitchen was closed, the small group of stranded passengers from the airport were all hungry. The team pulled together some beautiful anti pasti boards for us all. The rooms were a pure delight - the bed sheets were so soft - it felt like we were sleeping in butter! A great selection of toiletries & even wine for sale in the room. When we woke up in the morning & saw our surroundings we were truly blown away. Rolling hills with the vines growing around us. Just WOW! Breakfast was served in the restaurant - it was stunning in there. The food was cooked to perfection. Honestly - I wish we had gotten there earlier, or could have stayed longer to really enjoy everything this hotel has to offer. Feels like a real hidden gem! In the end - I have never been so grateful for a flight delay. My only (tiny) grumble, was that it was advertised we would get a free welcome gift, but when asked - I was told no gift. It would have been nice to have a bottle of wine included in the rate. Perhaps it was because we booked it so last minute!? "

"Not very impressed, the reason for booking was so we could relax and and have spa and massage treatments. And they said that the person doesn't work the month of August, isn't that busy season.why would I go halfway up a mountain to stay with nothing to do and don't help you with anything.very disappointed."

"This is a very tranquil place to stay, nestled in beautiful hills with some very pleasant nearby towns--in particular, Sicignano degli Alburi. We attended a large family reunion in Sicignano, and Mariangela, our hostess at La Tavernola, was very accommodating, allowing a small family photo exhibit on the premises, while also catering a delicious snack ("an evening under the stars") to finish up the weekend. Our room was charming and airy, with a pleasing view of the countryside. The breakfasts (and other meals that we ordered) were fresh and very tasty. Some ingredients were harvested at La Tavernola, such as olive oil and beans. Her staff was also friendly and gracious. The town of Sicignano has a historic castle and some excellent restaurants, including a pizza cafe on the town's main piazza. We also visited a nearby cave (~25-40 minute drive), Le Grotte di Pertosa-Auletta, which had an underground boat ride for part of its tour."
