Dedicated to Sugawara Michizane, a revered poet and the god of learning and scholarship, this is one of Japan’s most important Shinto shrines. Stroll through the 12 corridors and visit some of the 150 shops in this underground labyrinth.

A vast and picturesque lake adorned with charming islets and traditional pavilions stands at the heart of Ohori Park, a leafy haven in central Fukuoka.
