"We stayed two weeks at this property and very much enjoyed it. The cottage is near the Belfast rail trail and we walked on this every day. We liked that the location felt very private yet it was only about a mile walk on the rail trail to Belfast harbor. The other great thing about this property is proximity to the Passagassawakeag River. It's just at the backside of the property and the owners have a very nice dock that was available for our use. "I fell in love with this cottage the moment we pulled into the driveway. I knew the second I stepped inside we were in for a magical stay, and we were. We adored everything about this dreamy old gal. My favorite thing was the porch for morning coffee and afternoon happy hour. It is centrally located between Belfast and Camden so you will never be short of things to do. That is if you can talk yourself off of that dreamy porch. "

"The cottage worked out well for us in Maine. Nice and quiet, good location, easy to get around. The gardens needed some attention and the lighting could be better in the kitchen (we are not fans of overhead fluorescents). Some foil, measuring cups and olive oil would be great too. Communication was great. Thank you for a nice stay."

"The house was at a great location, near Belfast and not too far from Camden/Rockland. Good for kids. The house was very large and old-style classic. The porch was huge and great, old school. The property was very nice, access to rocky shore was good, but with a lot of steps. The plumbing was old but clean and the lighting was also old. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you needed to cook and more. The host was very good and responsive, we had no problems and had a nice stay"

"Peregrine House is situated on a quiet road in a peaceful location with a lovely view of the bay and gorgeous sunsets. There is easy access to the town of Castine and the house is a short walk to the beach where we enjoyed swimming. The house was well-equipped. The beds and living area were comfortable. Mary Lou was responsive to our questions and needs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

Our only concern was Hotels.com said it was only 8.8 miles from Castine. False! We are not interested in miles "as the crow flies". Check the map closely. It cost us a lot of extra driving time."
