Don't limit yourself to Thorsby, because Central Alberta has been blessed with an abundance natural and cultural attractions waiting to be explored. Westerose, is 19 miles (31 kilometers) to the north, while Leduc lies 20 miles (32 kilometers) to the west.
Around 30 miles (48 kilometers) to the northeast of Thorsby is Edmonton, a regional city where you'll find University of Alberta, Snow Valley Ski Club and Alberta Aviation Museum. Edmonton Expo Centre, The Valley Zoo and Citadel Theatre are a number of other places worth investigating for those who would like to spend a while longer there.
If the weather is fine, head outdoors to experience Central Alberta's open-air museums and open-air exhibits.
