Outside the U.S., Thrifty Car Rental operators impose a maximum rental age that varies by country. Thrifty Car Rental recommends that renters check with their travel agent or car rental company prior to traveling.

Thrifty provides a range of vehicle types for every type of trip to meet the needs of travelers. As with most rental car companies, economy, standard, convertibles, luxury cars, mini vans, vans, trucks, and SUVs and more are all options.

The selection of specific vehicles varies based on different locations, but Thrifty will do it’s best to match the desired vehicle as closely as possible. For example, an economy car you can expect in the U.S. is the Chevrolet Spark. Premium or luxury rentals might include the likes of the Chrysler 300 or Chevrolet Impala and a typical convertible might be the Ford Mustang.

A valid driver’s license is required to rent any car. You will usually be expected to pay with a credit card, although debit card payments may be available in some branches, provided you can show some additional documentation check ahead to find out what is needed.
