Bramley6 nights4.0 star property8.4/10 - Very good (12 reviews)"Terrible communication before arrival led to delayed check in and was the cause of great frustration after a long drive. No understanding or apology from the property management, completely opposite response from hotels.com who did their best to resolve the issue and were very understanding. Entering the property we discovered a loudly beeping smoke alarm which we had to take down and remove the battery to stop the annoying sound. The property needs some maintenance, a broken cupboard door in..."Reviewed July 13, 2025Roundtrip • Chicago (ORD) - Leeds (LBA)ORD - LBA • 1 stop LBA - ORD • 1 stop$2,476$2,291found 1 day agoper traveler - Richmond House

If you like broken beds, dirty dusty rooms, cutlery that’s not been washed, beans that are not even no frills, the whole place is like something out of horror movie. I could go on for ages. "Large, sprawling property with good amenities for wheelchair customers but with long corridors that may be challenging for guests who have other walking aids or breathing difficulties. Excellent breakfast with a good range of hot and cold items and some healthy options. Warm and friendly greeting from staff on arrival. Large car park that empties out overnight but VERY busy on a Sunday morning (extremely difficult to find a vacant space). Easy to pay for parking using a machine in the lobby...
"Great location, with lovely views over the surrounding moors. Excellent range of food and wines very reasonably priced. Bed room was spacious and spotless clean. Will return in the future for sure."
The Old Bridge Inn, Holmfirth, West Yorkshire
The Old Bridge Inn, Holmfirth, West Yorkshire"The staff at this hotel are charmingly Yorkshire and welcoming. A refreshing change from more 'corporate' but less personal treatment of guests. Born in West Yorkshire myself, I loved the chatty friendliness of the staff with their typically Yorkshire sense of humour that made my visit such a pleasure. I'll definitely return. The food was excellent, the rooms modern and immaculate. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the fact that I could hear the people in the next room talking way into...

"The young woman checking us in was not very welcoming, and when waiting for a drink while the other bar staff was busy away from the bar, she was stood at the computer and acted like we was a inconvenience when we asked for a drink. All the other staff was lovely."
